Well that's a bit different tonight.  a post over at BTX suggests Curtis is not in the house tonight -- likely related to the disappearance of Nightshift.

Plenty of room in the pattern for The Wind and The Rain or at least the Backstreets-Drive all night version from Passaic 1978-09-19 in which the line "The Snow, The Wind, The Rain" is repeated several times.

Just got home after an evening out for dinner and drinks with 3 cousins, one I had not seen in 36+ years.

NIce to see a new song, and the return of Burnin' Train

How was it seeing the good side of the family?

Dump Ticketmaster? And what then? Go back to sleeping in record store parking lots? No thanks.  When people say things like Dump Ticketmaster, do they ever have an alternative plan? Maybe pitch it to some investors. Build a better mouse trap?

Nah, we'll just rant meaningless slogans like "Dump Ticketmaster" or "Ticketbastard" or "TicketMaster must go"

And what is it they do that is so wrong? Well they charge a fee, a convenience fee. For a service that is DAMN convenient. Most convenient way to buy tickets in the history of mankind.

Oh, sure some will reply with incoherent rants about monopolies but no real understanding of what they are talking about or any details of the business they loathe. I am so done with all the crying about a reasonably priced service that if it went away people would lose their shit. Imagine a show geared toward middle aged adults like say Bruce Springsteen, asking his fans to sleep out at the box office like 1984.

I'd rather pay a 25% convenience fee, because it's a friggin bargain!

Fun, two of them live in the area here in So Fla so I see them often. The 3rd one lives up in redneck Fla, but he's here to take care of his 91 yr old mom who is not doing well. I had not seen him in 36 years, we lived as children next door to each other in NYC. Like a rediscovered brother. A good night.

I'm happy for you.  I have a cousin in NJ that I do not see as often as I'd like to. Not quite 35 years but I miss him. I saw him 3 years ago at his daughter's wedding.

Thank you Ticketmaster!

That's more like it. Rare to see someone admit they were so wrong like that on the internet. Bravo, you have my full respect! Thank you indeed.

You know what Ticketmaster did for me tonight for free? They allowed me to transfer my ticket to the guy who bought it on Stubhub. So convenient and no added convenience fee. He was in Portland, I was in Vegas. He got my ticket INSTANTLY. AMAZING.

I remember a time if you had an extra ticket you had to run an ad in the newspaper or call other ads in the newspaper who claimed to BUY and SELL. Drive to someone's house or give a stranger directions to your house. Or ,meet them in public. Maybe get robbed. None of that today. Smooth free transfer 1000 miles away. They really are amazing. Glad you finally saw the light

Thank You TicketMaster!!!

All the Convenience Fees are more like 33 %.

I don't have a breakdown of avgs but I bought a $500 Portland with $88 fees on Ticketmaster non reslae blue dot dynamic ticket. That's under 20%. In Tampa they dropped $199 rears with $49 fees. That's exactly where I got 25% from. If you have specifics to back up 33% I'm interested to hear. I will go pull up any show at random and grab a screen shot with fees and lets see what I find..
