It likely will, but the weather will be a bit dicey. Weather -- in PDX and elsewhere -- could also affect flights coming in Saturday.  I think it will affect attendance here. Also ticket prices. They are about half of what they were when I purchased them 2-3 months ago, and dropping on TM.

I have also been concerned that the trucks and crew can arrive and get things set up on time. Freeways from all directions have been at a standstill for almost 18 hours. I have no idea where to look for info in this regard. It if it happened, it likely would be last minute.

My flight is in 24 hours. Every instinct I have is telling me not to be on it. Except for my seat location and what I paid for it.

Latest weather report is 43 degrees tomorrow afternoon. Cooling to 33 in the evening. Predicting some precip coming in about 10 pm, rain or rain/snow.

I smell this tour premiere...

Judging from yesterday's headline it's not that unlikely.

Most of the snow in the Northern Hemisphere falls AFTER Christmas, there is no reason to play a holiday song in February just because is snowed. We had a blizzard in NYC in Jan 2016(one show postponed) and no Santa was played. A song like Trapped might be more appropriate.

Ride from the airport? I was gonna take the bus but someone told me I don't want to do that. I'm landing at 11am and nowhere to go but the arena. Anyone else flying in and wanna share a ride? Renting a car?

Phish, your commitment is amazing. This isn't like The Rising tour where you could go to 25 shows without leaving the Northeast. I wasn't sure many/any could get to this many shows on this tour but you certainly proved me wrong.

Cheap airfares and cheap shows made me go a little nuts. I almost added Denver at $107 round trip. So glad I didn't. I'm really glad this is my last trip except the March 29 show in Detroit to see my mom and dad back home.  Tomorrow is a rough one. From the airport to the arena, sit around. See the show back to the airport to wait for a 7am flight home. Terrible plan.

I was going to suggest the train (MAX light rail). Red Line from the airport will drop you off right in front of the Moda Center (Rose Quarter). You must be traveling light (no luggage).

Im in Phoenix on a lay over - I should leave here about 12 and land in Portland at about 2:00 PM

Weather says 24 degrees and about a foot of snow fell yesterday.  I asked my brother about any places to eat and wait downtown if I decided to just stay local for the show--- he said "I have no idea haven't been downtown area in 10 years.  Absolute shit hole."    So there you go.

My Brother lives in Lake Oswego just South of Portland .  Gonna freshen up and change and take local transportation to Arena around 7.   

Waiting and watching tix prices drop through floor. 

Brother and a friend who lives in Drain (2 hours south) says roads have been shit for a day or so.   If equipment left Tulsa immediately on morning of 22, then stage should be good. 

Hope to catch up with you in a bit.    Stay dry.

A perfect storm of factors (including but not limited to, how I'm feeling, Portland weather, the way this trip was planned and 4 shows already this month contributed to my failure to get to the airport for my flight) (A couple of personal issues to). Any of the factors on their own and I would have made it but add them all up and I didn't.

It's my best seat by far and the most expensive. There is no doubt I'm sad, but also filled with relief. I over did the travel this month. I'm tired and when it came down to it, going again today felt like something I had to do more than something I wanted to do.

I know how my life goes, so those who are going tonight, prepare for the best show of the tour!

I'd rather pay a 25% convenience fee, because it's a friggin bargain!

Fun, two of them live in the area here in So Fla so I see them often. The 3rd one lives up in redneck Fla, but he's here to take care of his 91 yr old mom who is not doing well. I had not seen him in 36 years, we lived as children next door to each other in NYC. Like a rediscovered brother. A good night.

I'm happy for you.  I have a cousin in NJ that I do not see as often as I'd like to. Not quite 35 years but I miss him. I saw him 3 years ago at his daughter's wedding.

You know what Ticketmaster did for me tonight for free? They allowed me to transfer my ticket to the guy who bought it on Stubhub. So convenient and no added convenience fee. He was in Portland, I was in Vegas. He got my ticket INSTANTLY. AMAZING.

I remember a time if you had an extra ticket you had to run an ad in the newspaper or call other ads in the newspaper who claimed to BUY and SELL. Drive to someone's house or give a stranger directions to your house. Or ,meet them in public. Maybe get robbed. None of that today. Smooth free transfer 1000 miles away. They really are amazing. Glad you finally saw the light

I don't have a breakdown of avgs but I bought a $500 Portland with $88 fees on Ticketmaster non reslae blue dot dynamic ticket. That's under 20%. In Tampa they dropped $199 rears with $49 fees. That's exactly where I got 25% from. If you have specifics to back up 33% I'm interested to hear. I will go pull up any show at random and grab a screen shot with fees and lets see what I find..

that doesn't look like a ticketmaster screen shot. Also those are resale tickets. We are talking about Ticketmaster convenience fees on Blue Dot standard AND DYNAMIC priced tickets. Not resale, That's a different business with lots of competition.  On first sale direct to public Ticketmaster fees are low and reasonable.

The purchase was direct and standard from Ticketmaster.  The tickets were not resale.  The prices fluctuated (dynamic) but were often $329 the week or so before the show.  The GAs do not have blue dots.  The fees shown are the fees from TM per my screenshot from my account.  Regardless, I am not complaining about fees.  I made my choice and I would do so again.  No one forced me to make the purchase.  It seems total fees swim in a 15%-30% range.  Enjoy the tour.

Everyone makes their own choices. Since the Reunion tour I've averaged about 25 shows per tour, most were GAs.  Not this one. This one so far I have tickets to three.

While I hate their model for service fees (should be a flat fee regardless of the price of the ticket), TM is by far the best ticket selling service. Anyone that has tried to buy tickets through one of the MLB baseball ticket selling sites (before they moved to TM), understands how horrible that service was.

I do remember those old days of buy from ticketron outlets (our best chance was at a Hechts store that nobody went to).

I don’t like dynamic pricing. I think seat prices should be what they are. If you’re in the 100 level all seats are $100 or whatever. If you’re in 400 level seats are $40.  That’s all. And, I do like the seat transfer capability. Glad you could do that.

Good to see Burnin' Train back. I hope he also could squeeze in Priest on a regular basis.

Portland - Beautiful city Beautiful people.

Other than all of the wackos, and other than the entire downtown area which has turned into an absolute fucking shithole the past 6 years...  It's kind of a great place.  Well, it used to be a great place.   About 5 times I've come here to visit my brother who lives in Lake Oswego just south of Portland limits.  But, OMG, Jesus- when I asked my brother about something local to hangout and wait before the show, he just said, "no, Ill get you or get an uber."   

Nightshift- I dig the song.  I love Curtis King and what he brings.   I missed it.  But, Nice shake up with I'm on Fire , and Burning Train moving to mid set.   I was thinking that Burning train into Priest and then Darlington and 99 would have been fucking rockin.  but.....

Great crowd.  Place packed.  Very loud.  Very Vocal.   

The Staff at the Moda.  FUCK THEM.   Two attendants were telling me outside in a  line over 100 yards long I couldn't bring my backpack in despite me telling them its a medical bag.   But One person at the door was cool and waved me through after giving me a nod and "I got you."   

Hanging with family - brother I haven't seen in a few years and sister in law.  My long time best friend drove up from Drain over 2 hours to hang out.   Family Friends.   Love . Life.

How much does it cost TM to create a ticket associated with a seating plan? I imagine it costs the same for s $20 ticket as it does a $500 ticket. I think a % of the ticket is ridiculous and greedy as shit. I could see it costing a bit more for an event that has fan pre-registration (that's extra work) but outside of that, it should be a flat fee across the board.

Taking that example, the service at an expensive restaurant is miles better than the service at a cheap one. You get different quality servers dressed nice that know what wine pairs best with the food at a nice place. At a diner, they just deliver the food. That model makes sense at a restaurant.

For TM, the service they provide is exactly the same if you are buying a $20 ticket and a $200 ticket. I shouldn't have to pay a different price for the same quality of service.

But me being a hippie, I must be wrong.

TM is using a retail pricing model. They are applying a a percentage by price point.

We've all heard you defend TM and Dynamic Pricing for the past month and your reasoning behind  both. I would bet if we took a poll here the vast majority would be against TM and Bruce's Dynamic pricing.

I don't "defend" ticketmaster they need no defending they don't do anything that requires a defense. (That's why everytime Springsteen tours go onsale and Congressmen hold their "investigations" they never do anything because they learn from their investigations "oh they do nothing wrong, the public is just ignorant and so were we").

What I do is not defending ticketmaster it is Disputing Absurdity.

"15%-20% fee is too much" absurd

"Life SHOULD work the way I say" absurd

"Tickets SHOULD be sold the way I say" absurd

"Ticketmaster SHOULD be forced to operate in a manner I can't even conceive of or explain but I DEMAND ANYWAY" absurd

Absurdities like that. Take all the polls you want, when they are done I'll let you know if the results are absurd.

In the meantime. Ticketmaster provides a valuable service, the service costs money. I never ever hear a valuable argument for why they should do it for less other than. "I don't wanna pay that much" Well, neither do I. But I don't live in a fantasy world where everything SHOULD be the way my mind wishes it was.

Do you really support one ticket vendor in control of the entire market? Not to mention that live nation also controls touring for the most part and has bought up a ton of venues over the past ten years. Don't you think it is a little fishy that the same company can own the venue, sell the tickets, and run the whole tour? Does it seem like a problem?

How is it that we cannot agree that a $150 service fee is too much. Just because you are the only competitor in the market doesn't mean you get to pull any number you want out of thin air. Congress is looking into them because they are a monopoly, and have been for years, Springsteen and Taylor Swift were the straws that broke the camel's back. Not to mention that they purportedly broke their consent agreement.

Just my opinion, having discussions like this one are important but we need to be civil about things.

Congress looks into them every time Springsteen puts a tour onsale EVERYTIME. And they always do nothing when their investigation discovers that all the anger comes from ignorance. The straw breaks the camels back every tour.  Lawmakers don't know a thing about tickets, they run investigations they back off and new law makers get elected and they dance again. The players change but the song remains the same.

Ticketmaster fees don't bother me. The RENT is too damn high. that bothers me. Housing is a necessity and it is out of control. Disco party playtime is a luxury, YOU PAY A PREMIUM FOR LUXURY.

hmm .... some would say the above opinion is very illogical.  I myself might go on to say that it's wildly unreasonable.  I'd go as far to say your taunts are an attempt to arouse derision.

Sounds reasonable to me.

I just can't wrap my head around someone supporting the underhanded dealings of a corporate monopoly also digging the jam band Phish.  That has to be one tiny overlap in the venn diagram of Phish fans.

All this other crap where people say meaningless stuff they can't explain is just worthless. Please explain in detail how they are a Monopoly (when many competitors exist like AXS and SeatGeek and others). Please explain in detail how they act underhandedly. Please no more slogans or vague descriptions. Please elaborate and explain what the real problem is with charging a reasonable service fee for an amazing service. (I can't believe anyone who ever slept on the ground in line for tickets doesn't LOVE Ticketmaster in 2023. Not sleeping on the ground = PRICELESS)

Phish just finished their Mexico resort 4 night festival last night (All 4 shows already mixed by Altschiller and released by NUGS INCLUDING LAST NIGHT. All 4 shows Webcast)

Tickets were like $5000 each or more. (Plus minimum of 2. No singles) No idea what the service charge was but the point is, Phish Phans support ticketmaster as much or more than any other fans. Tickets are the bands PRIMARY product.

Great show, although it was a bit shorter than previous shows I've been to. The only glitch was the traffic jam a few blocks from the Moda Center, caused by the state wrestling tournament at an adjacent venue leaving as we were coming in. (I incorrectly believed there were no events at there.)  We left home @ 6:30pm, 30 minutes later than planned, didn't get into the East-West Parking Garages until 7:15 and (due to long, slow lines) didn't enter the venue until 7:45 as the first notes of "No Surrender" played.

Place was packed to the rafters as we walked in, though. So other folks apparently planned and executed better than I did to be in our six seats by 7. I blame the kids for arriving 30 minutes later for pre-concert dinner LOL.

Curtis and Lisa missing was a bit disappointing. Nils' slide guitar crapped out during his "Johnny 99" solo, so he had to switch mid-stream.  I watched Steve's interaction with a fan that someone else mentioned, but couldn't figure it out at the time.

As usual, the show left me thirsting for more. So I briefly contemplated going to Seattle tonight. That won't happen, but  will attend the PHX show Nov. 30. Will likely get day-of tix, possibly behind the stage. I watched Portland tickets drop like a rock the last two days, possibly due to weather concerns. I'm definitely not planning on paying $600 each (not counting fees) like I did for the six Sec 223 seats (straight view) we got here.
