Nope, they're still partying Belushi style all over Vancouver Island. And the rest of the country for that matter...

I'm not sure whether the Conservative government will last long anyway. They're a minority government and just committed a major tax fuck up. As for US interference? Bush is and will always be a cock smoker.
"In a world gone mad, we will not spank the monkey, but the monkey will spank us."
All praise Allah Joebaby, Akbar Newscott, and the Ohio Negro Hippie Kenneth.

Now give us Acosta, LC, JoeDoakes, SpeedBallByYou, Indian Runner, markpackman, Gob the Insatiable Wife Pleaser, Beano, Easily Found on more days of the week than not, the poster child for Connecticut for Lieberman...TattooDad, and Seaside, and The_Zach, and Hazy- the last true legitimate conservative on most days, and the liberal trapped in KOM's libertarian body, and Mirjam, and JessieBrewer, and Sorrell, Caroljude, Brucelegs, and, Is she a dream? Is she real, Do I Have to Say her Name? The Great Great Righteous Babe.

And anybody I missed because the user pages I was checking were loading so slow on the new and improved SPL v.5.976453627645264.

This is our post-election party thread. We're gonna party like its 1992. We saved America, baby, and of course, we ruined Off Topic in the process. No more 2-word stories, no more Wooly Blueball airplane posts, no more chance-michael-stud sploogefests, no more daily soccer threads, no more scary KOM question threads asking whether the Democrat Party Just Committed Suicide, no more Welsh 'Breaking! We Just Captured [fill in the blank with the name of the latest terrorist we didn't just capture] threads, no more Logman She Was Only A Desk Jockey Threads, no more Imprison the Illegal Immigrants but just leave me enough to cut my fields threads from Turfman.

Yep, no more Delay, Dukestir, Dumbsfailed, Mark Foley (he actually was a Republican pedophile, right?), no more Frist, no more Cruella in Florida, no more Election Stealer Blackwell in Ohio, no more Man-on-Dog Santorum, no more Crazy Curt Weldon, and , well that's enough for now. Bring out the cigars and hummer queens wooooohoooo. We got our power back, and that's all that ever mattered.

Jefe ... the victory still tastes so sweet. Even more because I heard the news this morning with a statement that the Senate also will be in DEMS hands. They said all votes were counted and that the Repub lost by a tiny margin. Big enough though to divert a recount.
Still not sure if it's true but here's to winning both the House and The Senate.
Where's Yigba when you need somebody to ridicule.

mad Well, fuck you. Because if I had to choose between my soccer team's orgasmic victory over Satan's spawn on Sunday, and your political team's orgiastic victory over the Devil's offspring on Tuesday, I would choose - wait, I would choose the origamic double delight of victory for both. Which is what happened, leading me to believe, if only for a week, that the sun will shine forever and angels will lead us home.

It's two teabags in my cuppa this morning.

Cheers to my fellow fabs. Thanks to Kenny for letting me hold his seat all these months. El Jefe, Schmate, JoeB, Newsie - we kept the faith. The "Fab 5" auxiliary grew and hung in there. I know we pissed off a lot of people, but I can't imagine anyone was ever as pissed off as your humble narrator.

This is something from a few months back I never posted. I can't remember why.

Thank God PNAC and the chicken-hawks got ?a new Pearl Harbor.? Otherwise none of this would make any sense. The cabal of war fanatics advising the White House secretly planned a ?transformation? of defense policy years ago, calling for war against Iraq and huge increases in military spending as early as 1997.

Does anyone think George H. W. Bush's call for a "New world order" was just something he overheard at a cocktail party?

Osama Bin Laden was never a target and never the issue. The removal of the Taliban, which never happened, was only a stepping-stone to the real "coliseum? for the entertainment of the military-industrial elite. Iraq.

The ?new Pearl Harbor,? in the form of the terror attacks of Sept. 11, provided the necessary catalyst to put the global war plan into effect. Congress quickly allocated $40 billion to fund the ?war on terrorism? shortly after 9-11.

If you go to the Project for the New American Century web site you will quickly see who is shaping the US foreign policy. Be sure not to miss ?Rebuilding America?s Defenses: Strategies, Forces and Resources for a New Century.? That report reveals that the current members of Bush?s cabinet had already planned, before the 2000 presidential election, to take military control of the Gulf region whether Saddam Hussein is in power or not. Also this little gem: ?Even should Saddam pass from the scene,? the plan says U.S. military bases in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait will remain, despite domestic opposition in the Gulf States to the permanent stationing of U.S. troops. Iran, it says, ?may well prove as large a threat to U.S. interests as Iraq has.?

You will also see that the billions of dollars in additional defense spending are but the first step in the group?s long-term plan to transform the U.S. military into a global army enforcing a terroristic and bloody Pax Americana around the world.

Oh, and I love all the Clinton bashing over military spending cuts that ?reflected little more than an effort to find dollars in a then-tight budget era to keep government domestic spending up. In reality, the federal budget was balanced primarily by means of increased tax revenues and by slowly starving the armed services.?

The Federal budget was balanced? By Clinton? Bush has increased defense spending what? 12%? How much has the defect increased? The national debt?

I?ll be glad when the American nap is over.

My intense hatred for Bushco has not subsided. I have hope again. And as Maya Angelou famously said at Clinton's first inauguration:

"Here on the pulse of this new day
You may have the grace to look up and out
And into your sister's eyes,
Into your brother's face, your country
And say simply
Very simply
With hope
Good morning."

I love the conspiracy theory piece (which is always fun reading), but there is at least one error here.

The Army's transformation did begin much earlier than the Bush administration under then Chief of Staff GEN Shinseki (a Clinton appointee). The basis of the transformation was that the world was no longer a place of large, set piece land battles that characterized the Cold War era (for which our present military was built). GEN Shinseki's belief was that our Army needed to be lighter and more quickly deployable to fight today's battles. We leased Stryker's from the Canadians and have since modified our force structure in that direction.

BTW, he was probably right.

And I would be only too happy to. The market right now is killing me. But I do live very close to the Naval Submarine Base here, and the Coast Guard. Should you want citizenship wink

So I assume the market is slow for you? It's killing my wife as well. A year ago here the inventory was 4,000 properties. Now it's over 30,000. No one wants to sell because they won't get the big cash-in anymore and no one wants to buy because they perceive the properties as over-priced.

Very slow.I just don't know how long it will last. I've had all of my listings come down in price but it still doesn't help. We're going to be doing this really funky mail campaign. The advertising bills have been rediculous in the weekly's. Weird thing....my rental calls have picked up, it's literally saved me.
But I want the big bucks. I hope it changes and soon.

In the words of Colonel Nathan Jessup - "You just weakened a nation, sweet dreams, son"

Now here is why I have turned my back on this current administraiton and the morons who do not see what has truly transpired over the past 6 years. The WMD's, which is the main reason that the country was sold to enter the war, regardless of the Hannity et al spinnings, are in Syria. You do not go to war for one reason and then change your mind halfway through. This cowardly administration did not have the balls to go into Syria and do what was right. They actually could have saved themselves, and proven this country's justification in destroying Hussein's government. The only reason I can come up with that they did not pursue the WMD's was that they are in bed with the Syrians.

Bush and company are also in bed with the Saudi's, making any reasonable attempt at eliminating terror from those savages in the middle east equivalent to pissing into the wind.

And the Liberals, who think they can prevent terror on our soil by sticking their head in the sand and singing campfire songs are simply ignorant and naive.

We need to completely eliminate this threat, either by finding other means of energy, not utilizing the oil from the middle east and let the savages kill each other - i.e. not another fucking dime from the United States for any of those countries, other than Israel, of course.

Or there are other methods, which I would pray that we didn't have to use, but could, at the push of a button, thereby saving countless American lives - both soldiers and civilians.

The only thing I still like about Bush is that he realizes these savages intend to harm us, and though he has taken many missteps, I do know that he believes that what he is doing is right for this country. At least he is following, and standing behind his principles.

I still don't get, for the life of me, how you can possibly think that peace can be found between the West and these people. It is truly an ideological struggle.
I'm baaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!!

Be grateful you have listings. (as I'm sure you are) My wife did mailers on two separate occasions in areas that always bring her a few calls in response. This time - nothing.

She doesn't do rentals as she doesn't see them as being worth the time given the commission. So, she just keeps plugging ahead trying to find more work.

I don't recall exactly what the rate is here, but it might be the same, with all of the broker's stuff taken out. So, about half the first month is what really gets to the pocket.

I do my best to support her, but since I don't really know the business, it's hard. I'll pass on that things are just as bad in CT.

That seat is still yours, my friend. You've earned it with your top notch posts since you were invited here by your fellow rhythm twin. I, on the other hand cut & run. Besides, I really don't belong anymore considering my stance on enslaving illegal immigrants & death to the uberMuslims.

Big thumbs up to the foresighted ones for the 6 years of swimming upstream against the tide of sheep, dimwits & dick wavers. My hat would be off to you (if I wore one) & especially El Jefe, the King of Political Research & Knowledge.

Let's not get carried away. The real kudos go to Chuck Schumer and Ron Emmanuel, for they recruited the moderate Democrats who were swept into office on the wave. Chuckie was the one who recruited Casey and Webb. And you all should be pleased that Elliot Spitzer was the leading Democrat run and win the New York Governor's race, because otherwise Chuckie would have left the Senate in 04 to plan a run for Governor.

"What is she, the governor of Guam?"
The thread is titled "High Fives." That's everything you need to know about the honky factor in this thread.

Ya' gonna pretend that a bunch of virtual middle-aged white honkies giving cyber high-fives over the internet because they won the empty suit horse race isn't lame?

Additionally, this thread has several instances of the honky salutation "Cheers," soccer, "shout-outs," poetry, c&p, photoshop, "Huzzah" for fucks sake, and Mirjam. Let's get back to cigarettes and loose Canadians.

Amen brother Acosta. Now let's hope that John Conyers can complete what was begun at the Watergate hearings and continued during Iran/Contra. It is no coincidence that Republican administrations are the most corrupt of the last 40 years. When Bush is standing in the dock at the Hague and it is announced guilty on all counts then I will be satisfied.

Actually, it was Howard Dean and the Netroots who enacted the 50-state strategy to make sure there was a competitve Dem in every race, and to fund state and local candidates -- cutting the balls off the DLC-controlled DNC, who would only fund swing state and hot races, in the strategy you just lauded Schumer for. And it was the netroots who promoted the fighting dems, the war vets who jumped into district races -- people who the fuckwad media now calls "Conservative Democrats." I remember many sheep here laughing at posts a year ago about "fighting dems."

Schumer and Emanuel did a great job, but they didn't lead this effort from out front. The Senate typically follows the House in elections, was something I kept hearing the other night by the talkheads. Howard Dean led this effort.

And let's not forget Jeff Suppan running anti-stem cell ads in Missouri. And George Bush. Where would we be without George Bush and Osama Bin Ladin?

And, Air America Radio. Still bankrupt, oh, but still on the air. And Cindy Sheehan, the Rosa Parks of our time.

Yigba, for the Logmanth time, the WMD were a fabrication created by Ahmed Chalabi. OK? Got it? Do you understand? So, the rest of your anti-liberal blather is completely off the mark.

It is you and George Bush that sing campfire songs while Osama Bin Ladin goes free and our troops get picked off in Iraq's civil war. You and W, dude, singing country tunes, around the smoldering pit of the Republican party.
