The Yankees are taking a flier on Corey Kluber.

The two-time AL Cy Young Award winner agreed on an $11 million deal that brings him to The Bronx, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed on Friday, pending a physical.

Kluber held a showcase on Wednesday after two injury-filled seasons placed question marks around him. The workout, held in a Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. facility, was run by Yankees director of health and performance, Eric Cressey.

Sources told The Post that Kluber threw 89-91 mph while throwing 30 pitches in front of roughly 25 teams, including the Mets.

The 34-year-old righty made eight starts over the past two seasons, losing most of 2019 — his final season with the Indians — to a fractured right arm, and being done in by shoulder issues after one inning with the Rangers.

Kluber worked with both Cressey and Yankees pitching coach Matt Blake in Cleveland. He’ll challenge for a spot in a rotation that features ace Garret Cole and several question marks.

That's why DJ took only 15 million per year and went for stability and security.  The pinstripes are looking better and better.

I say break the bank and go for Realmuto.

They're trying to stay under the $210 million payroll tax number. Signing Realmuto will not help that.  We have a catcher, he just needs to get his head out of his ass. More offense is not a need.

And what if Kluber really is damaged goods? Who else is starting itching after Cole and Montgomery?  They need at least one more starter(Tanaka? Paxton?) and then they can choose amongst German, Garcia, Schmidt for the number 5 spot. And pray Severino will be back by the All-Star break.  They also need to replace Kahnle in the bullpen, and maybe Ottavino too.

Ralmuto is one of the best defensive catchers and a great game caller.  Not just offense.   The Pen is still second to none.  That is not a problem. If we are weak, it's starting Pitching, not for the season but for the playoffs. Realmuto helps with pitching, won't have someone else catching Cole every 5th day.  And I like Higgy a lot.

No way they are going after Realmuto. They are basically done adding pieces for now. I don't blame Hal for telling Cashman basically, I gave you all this money and you could not get us past the Rays with a much lower payroll. I don't blame him for staying below the luxury tax. Of course, they made the idiotic mistake of trading for Stanton and that contract is a huge anchor around their neck. Plus way overpaying for the choker Chapman who always puts the leadoff batter on, paces around, sweats like a horse, and throws a straight fastball that hitters can level up. They are just good enough to get into the playoffs then flame out. They can be really good if Sanchez hits just a little & Judge, Stanton and Hicks can not spend too much time on the IL.

ok, Take a deep breath.... ahhh

Now isn't that better?  Time to get ready for some football.
