I've been trying to make some sort of sense of the songs chosen for WOAD, and have had limited success. One thing I did notice though, are the opening and closing songs...

Opening the album is Outlaw Pete, which is about a previously-bigger-than-life celebrity who finds himself a victim of his past choices, and frequently uses the refrain "Can you hear me?"

Closing the album is The Wrestler, which is also about a previously-bigger-than-life celebrity who finds himself a victim of his past choices. The verses all contain the line "... then you've seen me."

Interesting, no?

Only other interesting song relation I can draw out is that the ending guitar riff of Outlaw Pete exactly matches the opening guitar riff of My Lucky Day. I was thinking he would meld them into one song transition in concert, but it hasn't happened.

Anything else capture people's attention?

I did notice this, and I do agree that a live transition of this would be cool.

Regarding Outlaw Pete and The Wrestler, I think it's probably coincidence considering The Wrestler is a bonus track so it's only logical place is at the end of the album.
