I've never made it through 'Midnight Cowboy' from start to finish. I've seen the whole thing, but only in parts; every time I try to watch the whole thing I just want to jump out a window about halfway through. Tried it again just now (it's on the Retro channel.) GAH, it's SO FUCKING DEPRESSING.

What was that one with Sean Penn as the son of ex-con Christopher Walkin. Some cute young thing falls for sean penn, but you know the whole thing is going to end in the shitter.

Madonna sang one of her better ones for the soundtrack.

I almost forgot Gegen die Wand (Head on aka Against the Wall) - very good but very depressing movie.

The taste of your voice reveals what before was unknown.
Do you ever dream of the world like I do?

Mystic river
Million Dollar baby
The house with the windows that laugh

...to have just one thing, just one thing in your whole life that you do that makes you proud of yourself, I don't think that's too much for anybody to ask...

Now - not so much.

This guy is clearly my dupe.

HOLY SHIT! The Mayor and I are in total agreement with this one! And I ain't afraid to admit it, I fucking bawled my eyes out at the end of that movie. And I dont cry. No...really... I dont. But I did that one time, and it was fucking Niagra Falls!

Oh hell, I cried at the end of Return of the King and I've read the friggin' book 20 times!

Pretty sad I know, that's why I never watch Cold Case (the show I've nicknamed "You Bastards") cause after I get sucked in to watching and the final montage begins I'm reaching for the kleenex saying "You Bastards!"

Here's another good depressing one. My Life as a Dog. How about anything by Bergman. Let's not forget the documentary "Night and Fog". Gave me nightmares.
