I know times are tough, so you need to get it on lay-away now.

Thanksgiving is when the family starts asking for gift ideas, so I am making a list.
So far I have
George Harrison - all the old albums remastered
Neil Young - several live CDs I don't have
Ringo - his first several CDs, you know I would never buy them myself
Old Brittish blues - John Mayall, Humble Pie, Pete Green fleetwood mac, free

I want my sister to buy me some dirty books.
Tropic of cancer
Lady Chatterly's Lover.
The guy who published them just won some award, so now I am curious.

Dad can get me a 100 foot extention cord. The old one is frayed.

If your kin are feeling generous I would add the following to your list - Ten Years After (Cricklewood Green is a good starting point) , Savoy Brown (try the 2CD anthology) and not forgetting the godfather of British Blues , Alexis Korner (try Kornerstoned 1955-1983 anthology).

Thanks for the tip. I have tried Ten Years After before and never got into it, but my taste are changing, so maybe it is time to try again. Never heard of Korner. Tell me more.
The Visionary Arts Museum in Baltimore showcases Outsider Art, art by untrained people. Some of it is very good, some is not, most of it is interesting. It in in the Inner Harbor next to Federal Hill. If you are ever visiting Baltimore it is worth an hour of you time.

This week they had an art & craft sale. We spent gobs of money on funky art for Christmas gifts and for ourselves.
Afterwards we went up to the Conowingo Dam to watch the Bald Eagles. For those of you not familier with Maryland, the Chesapeake Bay is the largest bay in the US. I might have made that up, but it is nearly as big as the state. THe Susquahana River flows into the north end of the bay. It drains a large portion of Pennsylvania and parts of New York as well. The river separates Harford and Cecil counties. The counties are bordered by the bay to the south and Pennsylvania to the north. The Conowingo Dam is in old Hydro Electric dam a couple mile south of the State line.

Below the dam, on the west side (Harford County) is a park that runs along the river for a couple miles. In the river is a manmade island with large metal towers. The towers were covered in eagles and hawks. I counted twentyfive at on time. I had five bald eagles in flight in my binoculars at one time. Catching and fighting over fish. Soaring, swooping, and chattering to each other. It was very cool. Teen Gob too some pics and I will post some tomorrow.
We also went to see Twilight. I thought it was very enjoyable. A little teen sexual tension, and little action. Bella is very appealing and if I were a vampire I would bite her. The father is a little one dimensional, but he isn't really part of the story, just a prop.

Teen Gob and Mrs Gob didn't get this, but the scene in the top of the tree is very sensual. They are both moving their limbs slowly and carefully so that they are close and facing each other.

Hey Gob,
Your dad just opened his retirement account statement and you are getting a new roll of electrical tape for the extension cord. A roll of red and green so cheer up.
