Thanks for posting.

I had lowered expectations because of some things I read here, and am still a bit disappointed.

Some thoughts:

- I liked Bruce going chronologic through the albums and track by track
- I skipped him singing because of the twang and high voice
- The highlight for me were the few snippets of rehearsal footage. It is hard to believe those few seconds are all they got?
- Regarding the credits: why is 2015 mentioned? Were some lyrics rewritten?
- Why the bad (audience) video footage at the end, which didn't even match the song (TTTB) that was played?
- NOTHING about No Nukes (I thought that was the turning point of taking the record back and start writing again?)

To resume: I saw 4 types of video footage:
- Bruce talking, 2015
- Minute of Max's wedding (with not much added value to the doc imho)
- Some rehearsal footage
- Bad audience footage at the end

I don't get it. 2 years of extensive writing and recording, and this is the only footage available? In that case: give me just one minute of the rehearsal footage, that is worth more than the rest of the whole doc.

I don't like to compain, but I feel let down, I feel like there was much more to be shown. It is like they didn't even try. At least take a trip to the house/place that Bruce rented to write, or to the Power Station. At least show the tapes/taperecorder. Let Neil Dorfsman say something about the typical sound and recording process. Show some of the No Nukes footage.

This article is more valuable to me than the whole doc:

What do you guys think?

I personally loved the footage from Barcelona 81 at the end during the credits.  My understanding is that is the only footage that exists from the entire Spring 81 tour of Europe (which is a bloody shame).

Surprised there was no interviews with Steve or Neil Dorfsman. The River was Steve's record to a large degree. No mention of/reference to recording at the power station either. That studio was a big factor in the sound of the record.

The interviews with Bruce were typical.  A few insights but overall kinda dull.  I was hoping there was going to be at least some video footage from the Telegraph Hill rehearsals, or from the power station.

Overall a bit disappointing.
