I realize this is only from watching facebook streams of the first 3 shows, but it doesn't seem like Bruce is connecting as much with the audience as he used to. I know he isn't going to crowd surf or knee slide at this age, but as he walked do the B stage, it's like he is intentionally staying as far away from the fans as he can.

I guess with COVID/RSV going around, it's probably a good thing to do but I don't see him engaging as much.

@ Denver - Having been to all theee shows this far I will agree with that  observation.

i met the lady in tampa dressed up with the poodle skirt and the sign for Adele’s dance something.    And then I saw her  make way to front in Orlando.      When I saw her outfit and sign I just  said , “really ?  It’s not 2012.”

The aggressive  people down  in front in Orlando were really annoying   Putting signs up on the stage and almost blocking prompter    Dance lady made her way , or her sign did twice and Bruce just ignored it

i am guessing somebody from Italy was in front with the our live sign     Don’t get it     Not Italy     When thousands of people did it it looked cool      A bed sheet  — looks cheesy

There were more signs in Orlando    Bruce made an effort to ignore all of them

it looks like and feels like we have a production - performance - of a fn killer setlist .   But it’s going to feel like a drag more than five times.

skipping Hollywood.  Landing in Dallas on the 9th

Excellent informed comments. That’s why I love SPL. Personally, I really like the first shows of new tours because they mostly or fully stick to a purposeful setlist. The show last night was all business, no audience-guided side trips. I’m interested in what Bruce chooses to play and in that order, not which favorite some fan wants so it was a great show for me. I could listen to that same set over annd over until Brice chooses to change it up. The band is powerful. The performances will grow. I bet some of the soul songs eventually will become epic. They’re not there yet. Nils was looking frail, I hope he’s in good health. Jake has come of age, his solos were a highlight. Last Man Standing and into Backstreets, wow! Burning’ Train is indeed a really good song! I really liked this show!

actually, if you go back and do a quick scan of BruceBase, the starting runs of the Rising, Magic, and WB tours were rather static.  I think in '02 you had about 16 different songs pop up in the first 20 shows or so, many of which were one-offs.  Most nights had one, maybe 2 changes.   The setlist will evolve as he tries different things...But people looking for Fenway #2 in '12 or StLouis '08 out of the gate every night will be disappointed.   Personally.....  I love BT, but its not an encore song....put it in the main set.  I love ISyiMD, but not as a closer...open the encores with it.   I also like LMS & ISyiMD, but they could use just a small touch of Roy/Charlie/Max in the background....   just my 2 pesos.     Im not a big fan of OtSS, but I will leave that alone.

#2 for me. 2nd row in front of The middle ramp. The sign lady was to my right. She was actually very nice and just obsessed with Bruce. I kept pushing the sign down because she was a little overzealous. He acknowledged it early on, she should have stopped. The people around us were all nice, no invasion of space so I have no pit complaints. Fan run GA. Kudos to the organizers they really tried to keep it intact. However once the doors open it kinda became a free for all. We took the first  and second spot of the 16 doors closest to the bracelet people. I think everyone in the lines ended up in a good spot. I think Bruce was totally into it. I saw him dancing more last night than I have in a long time. The added trumpet in last man standing was a good . I think the limited touching, surfing etc is definitely a COVID precaution, Hobie and I both just had it, my sister in law could not make as she is at the end of COVID. Gary looked tired, Skinny Steve seemed more animated, Nils did about 3 or 4 spins during Because the night. I was just happy to be there, happy with my spot and happy to go enjoy the ride. Done until April, Than you Florida!
