Thunder Road-Roy Orbison

I have no idea where this was from, but I was listening to an old version of Thunder Road where Springsteen sings it like a Roy Orbison tune. He even sounds like him. The boot is called Geniune Tracks, but it seems there are a few "geninue Tracks" boots.

Any help on the whens and wheres of this recording.

Studio. Acoustic, but sounds like some band backing. Sounds like early '70s.

Sounds like it could be the acoustic one from the BTR sessions, The Record Plant, New York City, NY March - July 1975.

That's the one where he sings "Christine's Dress" instead of "Mary's".
It's also shortly on the BTR anniversary remaster?

Ever hear Bobby Bandiera do Roy Orbison? Talk about freaky. I saw him recently...he sang "Crying", and it sounded like Roy himself had risen from the dead and was singing.

Always felt he sounds like Roy on
"None But The Brave" holiday show boot
especially the ending.
Have to agree, Bobby B. is the best
Roy sound-alike I've heard.
