To begin, human stupidity refers to myself.

I tried to get tickets for next Oslo show (it is the only I could attend, apart from Barcelona, on account of dates). As I am not Norwegian, I only was allowed to buy tickets by phone (not the web), and as the sale was during work time, I had to call from my cellular phone.
I decided to go by myself, avoiding nasty touts. And so I called, and called and called... As I didn?t get tickets I tried again whe cancelled tickets went on sale, and I called, and called, and called....

As a result of all this subject, I've found myself without tickets for Oslo show , and with a Cell phone invoice of $ 208 (this being only for calls to Norway).

My thoughts are: as at qxl.no touts are selling tickets at $179 (face value is $101), if I had decided to buy tickets there, I would have paid $358 for two tickets (that is what I was looking for). Nevertheless, I have paid $208 for NOTHING .

Did I do the right thing?.
Are ticket sales method fair with fans and again touts?.
Am I as stupid as I am feeling now?.

Of course all this may be hard to understand for Americans; just an Euros problem.

[] Are ticket sales method fair with fans and again touts? [/] No, I think it should be the same sale method for everybody, no matter where you live. It?s not fair that if you are not in that country you don?t have the chance to buy via internet or via phone (I couldn?t buy tickets for Badalona because I was in France when the tickets went on sale! ).
And of course, it?s not fair for fans that live in countries with no show scheduled.

I understand you might feel stupid, but I would have done the same, I wouldn't have bought from a tout
Yes, avoiding touts seems the right thing.

But one more thing in this particular case: If after all these phone calls I would have got tickets, it would have paid more than $410 for two tickets (as said, a tout is asking $358 for two tickets).

This was the Great Nasty Nationalistic Tour: you couldn't get Barcelona tickets if you wasn?t Spanish, you couldn?t get Stockholm tickets if you wasn't Swedish, everything said about Oslo tickets... I love Europe.
Just another thought ... to demand ?70.00 to ?90.00 for one ticket is crazy, just think about how long you have to work to be able to buy one ticket!
There is no argument at all that this amount is justified (apart from making agents and artists rich and richer), especially when ticket prices remained stable for the D&D tour (one musician, only a handful of instruments) and the current one (15? musicians and even more instruments).
Sorry to hear you didn't get tickets.
I understand why you did it this way. I would never buy from a tout!

I had the same problem, but decided not to call from work and went on begging for tickets instead. Finally, I received one, but I was very lucky.
