We are proud to announce the return to the stage for one of Britain's greatest ever rock and roll bands: The Godfathers.

The original line-up of Peter and Chris Coyne reunited with Mike Gibson, Kris Dollimore and George Mazur will play the 1st UK concert in 19 years for their traditional 'Saint Valentine's Day Massacre' on February 14th 2008 at The Forum, Kentish Town, London.

More selected European dates are also being announced. The reunion will see The Godfathers claim back their international status while promoting the expanded reissue of their independent debut album 'Hit By Hit], now a double CD set, which will be available in February on the band's Corporate Image label.

Formed in 1985, The Godfathers earned a reputation for their no-holds barred live shows and electrifying brand of primal rock 'n' roll while touring extensively the UK, Europe and the USA. After acclaimed independent single releases produced by Vic Maile and collected on debut album Hit By Hit they signed to Epic Records in 1987, releasing a string of great singles from their acclaimed international best selling albums, Birth, School, Work, Death and More Songs About Love and Hate. Pioneering their own brand of guitar-driven alternative rock sound, they laid the foundations for the Brit Pop rock resurgence of the nineties. Rumours of a return to the stage for their traditional Saint Valentine's Day Massacre concert in London have kept their faithful followers waiting for decades.

"Ray has been doing Karaoke Kinks shows since 1996. "Phobia...what you got..." What is he talking about. I wouldn't mind or rather consider doing some shows with Ray purely in respect for the Great body of work we have both been fortunate to have been involved in over the years. And for the fans of course. And the money don't forget the money Reg, remember what it used to be like before the money, Reg. But to sit in a room or studio with him and have my brain and heart slowly sucked out ... no friggin thank you. Got the t-shirt, overcoat, bruises, psychiastrist, worts, scars, lumbago and somnambulistic gaze to proove it.....Muse indeed. Source, inspiration and creative and emotional supply maybe.....(not to mention psychic dustbin). oh forgive me, I muse! Ha Ha! (in flippant upperclass accent)...It would be like a poor remake of 'Night of the Livin Dead'..... There is nothing wrong with the old songs or new songs that we have both been writing on our own; but not more torture Please. no more Hannabal lectur.aah!
the swan song Ray and Dave tour should be called the Kinks are 'The Fractured Mindz preservation Society'.
'Preserve in Peace.'

Ah bless me, I muse myself...There's no hit like an old hit! or is it? no fool like an......oh whatever? or is it?. To pout or not to pout. That is the question. Whether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the sulks and abuse of outrageous performers..err.......no no no gettin mixed up here...

I a'muse' . I adore.
Love
Dave"
