(Apologies if this has been posted before...I just discovered it - thanks TheIncident!)

Interesting analysis of one of my all time favs. Also includes some quick links to various cool performances of the song 👍

Wonder what Bruce would think of this. Was this all in his head when he wrote the song??

For almost twenty years, “Incident” went missing in action. Fans began to wonder if they’d ever hear it again. So imagine the delight of the fans in attendance when Bruce and the E Street Band opened their final Reunion Tour show in Philadelphia with it, as powerful and majestic as ever:

they should release this show

Sony's records are full of holes, but so far Clinton Heylin got the Sept 23 1973 date, and they found another record on Sept 22 researching for Brucebase (me).

Albee Tellone says there are more dates. Maybe these are the last two.

After this, he probably started working on Jungleland, an even more ambitious ghetto opera. Zero and Blind Terry, another similar scenario, was finished before the dates for this.

people would jump onstage and grab me by the head and scream, ‘tilly! bootlegs!'"
