Hello There,
We need your help to fund the SPL for 2025. Please use the PayPal button at the top right of the page to help us fund the SPL for another year and another tour.
It costs about $75 per month to host this message board. We have no other source of income except for our one-a-year donation drive. If you can spare a few dollars, please send them our way. PM me if you'd rather do Venmo, CashApp or Zelle.
Additionally, this year if you donate $35 or more, you will be entered into a drawing for a set of three River-era, promotional prints, created from original negatives from Columbia Records. These were donated to the SPL specifically for this fundraiser.

From the SPL member who sent the photos:
Way back in the late 80s, when CDs became the rage and vinyl demand shrank, I looked to find a complementary product to sell at collector shows next to my records. I ended up finding regular exclusive sources to buy press kits from and had a very successful time selling kits and photos up till the early 2000s, when everything once only available in print was uploaded online.
I was collecting Bruce items since 1984 and going thru Goldmine Magazine in the late 80s I came across an ad from a major Los Angeles collectables company advertising amongst other things, Springsteen River print negatives, and I jumped to buy them. To my surprise they were full size negatives and not shot from a photo but 8-1/2” x 11” each comprised of several separate negatives - the photo, the name, and the Columbia logo. Each came in a job envelope with a 1980 date on them. From all indications, composition and assumptions they were official Columbia negatives, likely cleaned out from a regional office once they became dated. I truly believe I found official Columbia negatives.
Thank you all,
CJ
