Tomorrow brings us show #15. After Hershey there are only two show left on this US-leg.

Last time the band played here was in 2009. Most noteable were the two tour premieres: Twist and Shout and Give The Girl A Kiss. No Max Weinberg present - Jay Weinberg played drums for the entire show.

Thoughts and prayers to you and your family seaside....

Since the two shows are so close together (next day)

Does he have a second stage they put up?He must right?

Even a non elaborate set up as his will take a long time to build.

I'll never forget when the Stones rolled into MSG back in the early 90's they had something like 14 semi's of rigging for their show. One of the bar patrons where I was a bouncer worked security for MSG at the time.He said it was unreal the amount of staging they had.

Coming off last night with all the surprises he pulled it's any ones guess

as to what he will do.

hope oats gets his 7 angels tonight.

if he did pull two signs for it last night he just might do it and soon.

Hope mr seasidebargirl gets his Youngstown.Been a while.that would be a nice addition.

Always a great song and nils solo is just awesome. And of course I hope our very own seasidebargirl gets at least some of her incredible list.

either way it's going to be a great night.

oh and I hope tat dad and mom and Justin and his mom all get to go on stage and show what a remarkable journey Justin has made.

he deserves it after what he has had to endure.

have a great time Justin.we're all pulling for you.

General Admission Lottery Procedure

Please see details below regarding policies and procedures for the show’s GA Lottery. The “lottery” allows the first 2,000 holders of general admission tickets who arrive on site; a random chance to be the first enter the forward barricade area on the floor, closest to the stage. This is entirely optional and can be disregarded by GA ticket holders who do not wish to enter the lottery for a chance to be placed in the
forward barricade.

1) On the day of the show, sequentially numbered wristbands will be distributed beginning at 8:00AM. This will take place at Northwest gate 19 designated for GA entrance Lottery. Wristbands will be distributed until 2,000 have been distributed.
2) Patrons must be present and in possession of their GA ticket to receive a wristband. Only one wristband per patron will be issued.
3) After the patron's ticket has been verified as a GA ticket. A wristband will be issued and affixed to the patron’s wrist.
4) Anyone who receives one of the first 2,000 numbered wristbands, has an equal chance to be first in line to enter the Front Area.
5) Patrons who have received a wristband may leave the premises. They must return by 4:00PM.
6) Patrons who received a wristband and are present for the drawing must be ready to enter the venue. This means they should not be carrying any prohibited items with them. e.g. backpacks/ large bags, cameras, recording devices etc… If there are any questions regarding prohibited items, please check with venue staff prior to the drawing.
7) A starting number will be randomly picked by a patron. This number will be announced at Northwest gate 19 designated for GA entrance Lottery.
8) The patron wearing the wristband that matches the starting number will be first in line. All participants are required to remain in sequential order. Venue entry and security screening may begin as soon as immediately following the drawing. Patrons will be directed by tour
and venue staff through this process.
9) All patrons with GA tickets and a wristband who wish to enter according to the lottery, need to remain present to be processed and escorted into the venue. Failure to be present for drawing, or not remaining throughout the lottery entry process will result in forfeiture of a position in the front section.
10) Once inside the venue, a second wristband will be issued to identify those who will have access to enter the Front GA Area.

It's better to be 10% right some of the time then 90% wrong all of the time... So you're good my friend.

And we wouldn't want you any other way to be honest.

This sadly is true....

So does this fall in the 90% of the time? And if so doesn't that make it false?

We're in!  No clue where Oats is.  Awesome venue.  I've been here b4 for football games.  This is the first time for a concert.  Stage looks awesome.  It's been spritzing a bit.  Nothing on the radar so hopefully we are good.  Oh the anticipation!!!!

Ed says sound excellent by back rail and back GA and much better energy than last night in Albany,

I wish I could go to Mohegan, I had tickets lined up, no names, but what they wanted for a room($700 Sat night-$400 Sun night), logistics traveling, dumping Saturday Yankee-Pirates tix($90), getting to work Monday, and I passed. I can go to Florida for 10 days and not spend that much! Sorry Bruce.

I also had tickets lined up and cannot go... nothing to do with hotel room prices, as we were planning on staying well outside of the Mohegan Sun area, probably about an hour out, around New Haven, where prices were more reasonable.

Unfortunately, life has a way of throwing curve balls at you, so I'll also be at the Yankee game on Saturday instead of in Connecticut seeing the greatest band in the land.

Setlist not as wild as Albany. Good to see Roulette played (which is one of my favs). Songs 9-13 are really nice.

Can't say that it was the best show that I've been too.  Any Bruce show is better than none but still it seemed to be lacking something for me. Not a fan of Clampdown so it wasn't the greatest way to start off the show.  It was misting for a good part of the show even though there was no rain in the forecast.

Roulette and Be True were the high lights.  Lost in the Flood is great any time you can hear it.  The Wall is just a beautiful song especially with Curt's trumpet solo.  I just didn't feel the energy that I usually do.  And maybe that was just me and because a funeral before a Bruce concert might not be the best combination.  Would like to slap Richard and Bernadette for requesting Surprise, Surprise and whoever the idiot was that requested Mary's Place.

Got to meet Hey Eddie, PeterNFCA and Frank.  Will post a pic of us later.  Overall it was just lacking something for me.  Maybe Oats and the others will have a different view but just not the greatest setlist.  Good luck to the gang going to CT this weekend.  Hope you get lots of great ones!!

"Tomorrow brings us show #15. After Hershey there are only two show left on this US-leg"

You can change this to only two left on this tour.  We are all out of legs.

After CT maybe two fingers in Pittsburgh with Joe G.  This is it for quite a while

Good show, as always. Random musings
-Morello didn't annoy me as much as I thought he would.
-No Patti-great
- NoSteve-bummer.
- The show now has the feel of a Vegas revue. Doesn't feel like the ESB
- The person who requested surprise surprise should be shot.
-great sound
-Hershey stadium is a cool venue
-the wall was great
-For You was better
-Bruce Springsteen is a freak of nature

A different direction (and much smaller band) would now be welcome.

No wonder we get along...than and your MILLIONS of dollars!

If my spelling bothers you don't read my posts

I actually like Morello.  He's pretty talented but he does tend to go over the top once in a while.  I should have found you BobbyG and we could have hunted down and smacked the Surprise, Surprise and Mary's Place sign people.  You have no idea how much I wanted to do that!  Have to agree the venue was great and the sound was also.

I had a great show. Number 20 into the pit, the best I've ever had, so that helped! Bruce sang directly to my young friend Justin and Tom Morello handed him a pick at the end (after mouthing to him "You're the man" from the stage earlier). An amazing night, despite the best efforts of three drunken Jersey girls whom I spent far too much of my time ensuring they kept the heck away from all the decent people beside me.

That's great to hear TD, especially that it sounds like Justin had a great time and some special moments!

Yeah shame about the drunks...there's always a few who get out of hand!

Cheers,

Hazy

First, let me say how sorry I am to hear of seasidebargirl's loss. My condolences and I'm sorry I missed you at the show.

This four pack of songs was for the Pennsylvanians:

Candy's Room was a play on words for Hershey.

Roulette - Three Mile Island

Death To My Hometown - The first time the Steel workers in Pa were crushed by the Robber Barons

Lost in the Flood - usually a Philly song but Hershey is as close as we get this go-round, about his old mate Gunner from Philly

It appeared to me that Bruce was singing with much more emotion and intensity than last night.  I was very impressed with the three acoustic songs.  He appeared to be singing from his heart and soul, leaving nothing behind.  I have seen For You acoustically a few times before.  I thought he put more into it this time than I had ever seen prior.  I've never been a huge fan of Surprise, Surprise and always thought of it as a cute, pop song.  I was there when he sang it for Stevie in 2009. Tonight it was sung especially for this couple up front.  To me, it felt as if he were singing only to them and they were the only two people in the stadium.  Acoustically it was beautiful.  I never thought of this song like that before.  When the boot comes out give it a listen and see what you think.  And The Wall has been played great this whole tour.  Charlotte was the penultimate version for me but how can anyone not like this one after such a moving prelude.

We received these classics: Candy's Room, Roulette, Be True, E Street Shuffle, Lost In The Flood, For You, Prove It with the great 78 Intro and the lead in was a tad different tonight, almost Because The Night like .

Maybe because we're nearing the end  but whatever the reason; Bruce was pouring everything into his solo guitar licks tonight.  He showed us that he can still play with the Big Boys.

Mixing Bobby Jean in with the encores was a nice touch.  I felt like he was telling  Steve that he was missed.

To my eyes and ears this was a very powerful show with lots and lots of energy, much more enthusiasm, lots of personal touches and a fantastic crowd.  The pacing was great.  This one rocked form start to finish.  In my humble opinion, this was a much better show than Albany.

I'm looking forward to Mohegan Sun

On a side note we had a very large Seven Angels sign that I'm sure Bruce observed as it brushed his body twice when he ran past us. lol

I don't think we will ever hear this one live.  Taking those two signs the other night was a tease.  Bruce is messing with me.

Thanks for the cool review Oats!
Really glad you enjoyed it so much.
I felt the same way about him putting his heart and soul into certain songs, especially the acoustic songs while he was down here. Adelaide 2 particularly.
Stripped bare and full of emotion, it doesn't get much better than that.
Reckon we'll more over these last 2 shows.
The last song of the last show, possibly TR solo will be a special moment and you'll be there!!

Cheers,

Hazy

"Hey man, did you see that? His body hit the street with such a beautiful thud"

...but I'm (hopefully) looking forward to a more stripped-down band in the future.  As great as his performance was (and as much fun as I had), there is just way too much going on...horns, multiple guitars, percussion, violin, synths. The sound of the band gets pretty sodden at times.  The horns at the end of the Thunder Road coda felt like a Las Vegas Springsteen revue.  Back to basics, please.
