were all played by request. Hungry heart was requested and played for Anna from Hamburg. Bruce said, he saw her all over Europe in the first row. She had a black 1. on her right hand. You can see her in the above pictures, the woman with the dark hair and the red shirt.

There was definitely something wrong with Bruce's right (?) hand. He had problems with the first solo in Prove it and the second solo wasn't played! Later in the show the slower solos seemed ok to me...

Now I have to go to bed. Tomorrow morning I will drive to the beautiful Lago di Como and on Wednesday to Milano...

What I forgot: He gave four or five harmonicas to children in the first rows or on the very side of the stage.

A very loose and somewhat ueven show but this being my first '08 I can't tell if all shows are like this. He seeded to be enjoying himself a lot

Highlight for me were definitely, that I finally were at a show where they played SOMETHING IN THE NIGHT - still flying high here!!!
But so many other highlights to mention from this FANTASTIC saturday night in Hamburg!

Nice to talk a little in line before the show & you're right WHAT A GREAT NIGHT it was!!

Have A NICE & LONG HOLIDAY in the far southeast - now you can travel in peace knowing that you just saw "the" Bruce show of your life.

The boy next to Anna is Rausche, but believe me he WAS NOT thinking about her, at least not at one part of the show........

Haaamburg!!!

What a night!!!

This must have been my 18th show since ?88, and I have to agree with Torben from Denmark ? this was by far the best?

I really appreciate the ?88 shows, since they were the first; the W?hlheide show with the other great band in ?93 also stands out with all the E Street shows over the years. I enjoyed the acoustic shows ? especially Paris in 97 and the 2005 shows in Copenhagen and ? Hamburg. BUT 2008 in Hamburg with a loose Bruce on a mission ? with a very powerful E Street Band was astonishing! We looked at each other after the first 5 songs and knew we were in for a treat. As some Germans said after the show: Hammer!

Highlights are many, but Spirit, Something in the night, Held up without a gun, Because the night (Nils? solo) and FINALLY, Rosalita should be mentioned.

Bruce is the ultimate performer, and I don?t see anybody else in his league. I never really did, though there are many great performers out there. Yesterday especially he?s interaction with the crowd was superb. I never thought he would be this good again seeing him in December. Luckily he?s back.

Thanks to ullivi85 for setting up this thread, and to all the fans out there for making me feel at home. Hope to see you on Sunday (many Danes in Hamburg ? understandable with that venue).

can?t add a lot more. for me it was show #38 since ?85 and it ranks at #1 together with milano 03. as he said it was a really big big night in hamburg. how can barca top this one ?

My big question is...how much was "Held Up" slowed down?

Beautiful day with lots of friends - wonderful night - great set - nice picture;-) - have had a fine spot yesterday...

My wife asked me why I always go to shows abroad when the Hamburg-shows every tour on such a high level;-)

Looking forward to Kobenhavn...always good shows, too.

By the way: Rosa, do you know friends with a spare GA for Barcelona first night? Still searching...
