Yes, that's correct, I asked Erno about his sources last week and he did not use any of the above listed auds from the sbd for his edits.

Yes, the JEMS Toronto tape ended up on the boot Soul Crusaders at some point CD era, when copies of our cassette to DAT transfer started to circulate. Erno used the boot as his source.
I true Toronto transfer still needs to be done and someday will. But up next we return to The River.

JEMS' last posting of a River show was 18 Dec 80 IIRC, and they mentioned another show in the posting. I don't want to steal their thunder, perhaps too late, but they mentioned a superb sounding recording from the following night. . . NYC, Hudson River. . .
aha thanks
great setlists from those nights
wow, wellc alled hobbes
great quality guys
it sounds great.
just stumbled over this thread because i was trying to find the full "Towson" tape that has been mentioned here. as others have pointed out there is a boot called "Will The Real Bruce Springsteen Please Stand Up?" that features 8 songs from Milwaukee (1977-02-22) and 2 songs from Towson (1977-03-13) in great quality (they sound almost like soundboards imo with vocals that are very upfront and very little audience noise).
one of those 2 songs is Don't Look Back which might be the definite live version of this song (when it comes to his vocals, the sound quality and intensity it's the best imho). anyway here's my question has the full Towson concert ever surfaced? i know there are 2 versions uploaded by mjk5510 and Ivannf, both don't sound nearly as good unfortunately (and are probably from different sources).
thanks in advance for your help
As far as I know both versions from Mark and myself are the complete show from two different tapers with each tape having a hiccup or two.
Any chance someone can share these "official" audience recordings, if they are great quality? Don't have any 1977 shows in my collection.

As it says further back, all are in circulation with the exception of the Towson, aka Baltimore boot. Only two tracks are known to circulate from that show.

thanks for clearing that up, that's what i thought. too bad because sound quality wise those 2 songs (from Towson) are as good as it gets for 1977 imho. if you wanna check them out yourself download the "Will The Real Bruce Springsteen Please Stand Up?" boot
Thanks, that's how I knew about them to begin with. It's a nice sounding boot.
Quick one are the Steve Hopkins Boston March 77 considered the best versions of those dates, I checked the must have bootleg thread but guess these were released after .... thanks
