New album - Henley, Frey, Joe Walsh, that guy they hired to play bass in 1979, no Don Felder and about 100 session guys.

Felder was the lead guitar player on stuff like One of These Nights and Hotel California, where Walsh played slide. He had that stinging guitar sound. He got kicked out a few years ago. I don't know why. Probably because Don Henley is a dick.

Comeback song - have no idea. Never had much interest in them when they were charting. Very boring band.

Lots of hit singles but their albums always sucked. Hell, Hotel California sucks if you take off the hit singles. Granted, they're half the album, but still. And they were like wax dummies live.

Chance - if you've seen the Hotel California video clip, Felder is the one in the check shirt playing the double-neck. Great guitar player and, trivia fans, the only Eagles member that never sang lead on a track.

Also, I didn't know that they aren't "The" Eagles. It's just Eagles. Eagles are releasing a new cd. Eagles are touring. Another reason to hate them.

Yep. He had a decent hit with "Heavy Metal (Takin' A Ride)" from the movie Heavy Metal. That was a cool song.

"Life's Been Good to Me" is kinda funny, but of course as overindulgent as anything the Eagles ever did.

On the other hand, he was friends with Keith Moon and John Belushi, which means it may have been a true story. (Why the two of them and not him???)

We think it's wrong that the Eagles put out a song that sounds like a cross between two of their biggest hits, but if Girls in Summer Clothes sounds like a cross between Born to Run and Thunder Road, we'd praise him to no end.

I always held it in my soul that it would take a Don Felder debate to get me back here again but I never truly dreamed the day would come. Thank God I didn't waste my time on any of those new Bruce album threads and came right over here where the real meat is.

The nice thing about every amateur having an audio program is that you can take songs you feel could have been better and make those changes.
