VALENTINE'S DAY IN SEPTEMBER Archive Series returns with a Devils & Dust tour standout After a summer lull, Bruce Springsteen's archive  download series is back, leaping forward two decades for the release of Columbus, July 31, 2005, one  of the finest performances on the Devils & Dust solo tour.

Springsteen's 24-song setlist at the Schottenstein Center's Value City Theatre is a doozy and loaded with true rarities,  from the set-opening world premiere of "Lift Me Up"  to one of but six  known performances of Tunnel of Love’s closing masterpiece "Valentine's Day," preceded by its TOL emotional companion, "When You're Alone." And that's just the  beginning. Columbus also features the tour premiere of "Back in Your  Arms" on electric piano,  piano readings of "For You" and "Lost in  the Flood,"  the Born in the U.S.A. outtake "Cynthia," and "State Trooper"  among numerous highlights. It's available today on Brucespringsteen.net,  powered by Nugs.net.

Bet the Joad shore will be coming soon. Its amazing to think that we are spoiled these days. Some fans will never know of a time when Bruce never released live stuff "Its all about being there". The waiting between live snippets was ridiculous. Sound on this is great, then many of the bootlegs are too but this is the icing on the cake!

The next installment of the Live Bruce Springsteen Archive Series finds Bruce solo in Columbus, Ohio in the midst of the Devils & Dust Tour. A decade after the Ghost of Tom Joad Tour, Devils & Dust took Bruce through theaters and curtained-off arenas to maintain a level of intimacy rarely seen in his touring career. Standing alone on the stage, Bruce played mostly acoustic on ten different instruments during the tour, several of which are featured on this recording, and the Columbus set list showcased many obscurities, like “Lift Me Up”, “Back In Your Arms”, “Cynthia” and “Valentine’s Day.”

The July 31, 2005 show, mixed from 24 track 96kHz/24 Bit masters, is available now in multiple download formats, ranging from MP3 to 24 Bit High-Definition and audiophile DSD formats. Pre-order the 2 CD set now. CDs will start shipping the second week of October.

  • Bruce Springsteen - Vocal, Acoustic Guitar, 12 String Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Harmonica, Wurlitzer Electric Piano, Acoustic Piano; Alan Fitzgerald - Keyboard accompaniment (off stage)

A gem. We are so spoiled these days. Back in the days i would go crazy if we got a live B-side on a 7".When the Tunnel singles was released with Roulette and Be true live. It was totally Bonanza.

Now a release like this last for 14 days, and then we want more. Kinda sad. Enjoy this. The D&D tour was something for itself. Saw Copenhagen And Gothenburg, with Copenhagen the superior show of the two if you ask me.

My beautiful reward on this tour was just amazing.
