Even though Bruce has hidden a track before...I'm banning myself for falling for that.
Musta missed him, all those shaved heads look alike.

Thanks Brother!
We definitely have 1 eye on the hill side across the river for us for sure! It's only 400 yards away. It's not on fire.... Just watching to make sure it doesn't erupt!
glad you are ok todd
Im going to have to listen to this again.. I like most of it, but that high note he tries to do is confusing me.. trying to be country..lol

After reading the Rolling Stone interview I’m absolutely thrilled to get my hands on this album. “Play it more E-Street”, more lyrical piano, more organ, glockenspiel, sax etc.
janey in a “near identical arrangement” than ‘79...
Ghosts out tomorrow!

Yeah saw that posted on YouTube, together with a picture of the Castiles 🤔
“Count the band in then kick into overdrive / By the end of the set we leave no one alive / Ghosts runnin’ through the night / Our spirits filled with light…” Ghosts out tomorrow!

I just really hope Janey is as rough and “dirty” as it was. If it’s too polished it may take away from why I like it so much.

That song was written by a wild young man 50 years ago. I am wondering about why he chose it now, when he might come across like a creepy old man. I hope he has a plan.

haaa Who would have thought of that?
Reminds me that Springsteen spent 2 days working on that song April 3-4 1979
Clearmountain spent another 2 mixing
and it finally saw the light of day as a b-side in 1988
Just like The Promise, got dumped in favor of newer compositions
There is nobody like Bruce Springsteen, greatest songwriter of 20th century
No not Irving Berlin or Gershwin, they are 2nd and 3rd at best
Bruce has the luxury of more choices for his albums --- Many more!
@Skipja?k posted:Western Stars is my favourite release in recent years, could this be another smasher? Well the first track we have heard has got me smiling
His engineer told me Western Stars had two current songs, the rest are from 2010. Details to follow
You can bet I hope it is....
The guy behind the drums also teased a little bit:
The new record has “incredible, incredible stories and wild, wild playing,” Weinberg said.
“If you like the album ‘The River,’ did you?, you're going to like Bruce’s new record," Weinberg said. “Keep you eyes out for a band from New Jersey called Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band because we will be back!”

Beethoven's lyrics were better! McCartney's drumming was superior. Toss up, really.
Hey everybody, it’s been awhile since I’ve been here last time... is there anybody alive out there? There is a new album coming, I’m so exited!
Welcome back
still can't decide if I will get this on vinyl, I didn't purchase a physical copy of WS, just went digital. However, I'm thinking its time to help out a record store and keep them in business in these difficult times.
Leak to you

Listening right now - beautiful!
Just got it but will probably listen to it properly tomorrow. Really optimistic on this one.
Yeah! Fuck it, man, I'm crying since first "If I was the priest" chorus...

I was aware of that song but couldn't say I ever really listened to it more than once. All I have to say, the new album version is fantastic. I went back and found an old live version and really appreciate the band treatment they gave to it.
Very darkness style album (sound, instruments balance....).
very good to see this kind of album after all this time
Best LP, soundwise, since The River?
If I was the priest is the incredible result from crazy lyrics (written in his 20s), musical maturity and the greatest rock & roll band. Period.
I'm holding out, waiting for my Vinyl to arrive. my will power is strong I want to experience it like it was back in the day when you got an album, reading it cover to cover. Gonna sit back in my favourite chair and saviour the moment.
It sounds like everyone who has heard it is rating it as a monumental release.

yeah, I know I have heard it many times, just can't recall that track. Looking forward to experiencing what you guys have on the arrangement
woo hoo my vinyl has shipped
might get it by Thursday I'm hoping
Great start to the album, dips a bit in the middle, then picks up towards the end. Really surprised by how good If I Was The Priest is, I never rated the early version at all. Janey is similar to the Darkness outtake in feel.
woo hoo, the record store has it in stock and shipping it today, Friday is going to be a good day
You guys are getting me excited. The wife ordered both CD and Vinyl for me as a birthday gift. I'll have to ask her who she ordered it from?
Got my hands on it today (legally). CD and vinyl. Have had it on in the background, looking forward to a proper listen tomorrow. Am apprehensive though, it has been so well-reviewed I'm afraid of a let down.
