House of a thousand guitars is a Willie Nile song.

I'm sure Willie would live the royalties on that one ...

LOL

What makes you think he's not on it?

Sounds like a letter you'd write but never send, maybe read it to your therapist.

I like that he got the whole band together at one time to record.

Did they fly or drive?  I have to try and see if they were rentals.

Bruce’s new studio album with the E Street Band, Letter To You, will be released on October 23. A rock album fueled by the band's heart-stopping, house-rocking signature sound, the 12 track Letter To You  is Bruce’s 20th studio album, and was recorded at his home studio in New Jersey. Listen to the album's title track and watch the new video here.

“I love the emotional nature of Letter To You,” says Bruce. “And I love the sound of the E Street Band playing completely live in the studio, in a way we’ve never done before, and with no overdubs. We made the album in only five days, and it turned out to be one of the greatest recording experiences I’ve ever had.” Letter to You includes nine recently written Springsteen songs, as well as new recordings of three of his legendary, but previously unreleased, compositions from the 1970s.

Produced by Ron Aniello with Bruce Springsteen, Letter To You is Bruce’s first time performing with the E Street Band since The River 2016 tour.

I was referring to the covid precautions.  Hence a lot of groups are doing these things virtually.  I could never  imagine Bruce cutting an album in 5 days, could you. .  I didn't see Jon there.  Maybe he couldn't risk it?

I really watched it this time, listened to it the first 5 times. I wonder if the rest of the album will feature the stripped down E Street Band.  No Suzie, Jake or Charlie.  Maybe this was Wednesday... their off day.

The confines can be pretty nice, it's when I wander around and about that I get lost.

Well we know there will be a few rockers.  Roulette, 1000 Guitars, Janey and the other couple.  Unless he's really changed the melodies which I doubt, after all it's E Street.

I still think Magic was his best work since 2000 .  In the confines of my mind, I have it even with The Rising.

It says no hidden track! Skipja?k was just haiving fun.

so why was it mentioned with songs that are on the Album?

Just flat out tell me please. My brain is tired from finals week two weeks ago and can't think straight to save my life right now. On top of that I have a wild fire raging 2 miles away and we just got power back after 2 days.

Look up Sumner and Bonney Lake Washington wildfire.

So here's just telling you - Skipja?k posted that it was the secret track on the album as it can be formed from the letters of "Letter to You"! Oats didn't realise that and mentioned it with some of the other tracks.

Clear now?

Yes,  and now sad! LOL Roulette is one of my old time favorites. every sine an lp bootleg I bough in the late 70's had the reporter (I assume anyway... yes I'm aware what that does. haha) asked him "What does Rock And Roll mean to you?" and he replied "A steady job or somthing" hahahaha

I thought when I posted did I miss something, and you said look back that it was your way of saying, yes... it is a hidden track! Even though I saw Skips little note saying no hidden track! LOL

You never can be sure with our bunch.

Sorry to hear about your troubles @ESTRTBNDFAN . Hope you can stay safe.

Thank you....That was from my front yard Tuesday afternoon. thankfully , that was as close as it got to us. but it was cary for a few days. That was 2 miles away.

Out my back yard. 1st picture was yesterday Morning second one was just about 20 minutes ago. the arrow points to the missing hill that's less then a mile away and covered by wild fire smoke from Cali ,Or and ours!

the smoke is covering much of Seattle and south. We're about 45 minutes south of Seattle.. Just outside Tacoma.

Thanks Brother!

We definitely have 1 eye on the hill side across the river for us for sure!  It's only 400 yards away. It's not on fire.... Just watching to make sure it doesn't erupt!

After reading the Rolling Stone interview I’m absolutely thrilled to get my hands on this album. “Play it more E-Street”, more lyrical piano, more organ, glockenspiel, sax etc.

I just really hope Janey is as rough and “dirty” as it was. If it’s too polished it may take away from why I like it so much.

That song was written by a wild young man 50 years ago. I am wondering about why he chose it now, when he might come across like a creepy old man. I hope he has a plan.

haaa  Who would have thought of that?

Reminds me that Springsteen spent 2 days working on that song April 3-4 1979

Clearmountain spent another 2 mixing

and it finally saw the light of day as a b-side in 1988

Just like The Promise, got dumped in favor of newer compositions

There is nobody like Bruce Springsteen, greatest songwriter of 20th century

No not Irving Berlin or Gershwin, they are 2nd and 3rd at best

Bruce has the luxury of more choices for his albums --- Many more!

You can bet I hope it is....

The guy behind the drums also teased a little bit:

The new record has “incredible, incredible stories and wild, wild playing,” Weinberg said.

“If you like the album ‘The River,’ did you?, you're going to like Bruce’s new record," Weinberg said. “Keep you eyes out for a band from New Jersey called Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band because we will be back!”
