I wouldn't call it bad. Awful? Yes, bad no.
[]Just got back, and it won't surprise you to hear that I thought it sucked. [/]
I would just like to point that DT was in fact dancing a little and tapping the chair in front.
So it couldn't have been all that bad !

I'll admit to tapping but not dancing!

I finally made it back home (or to the office that is)
I did enjoy the show. Highlights for me were Open all Night and How can I keep from singing, but I liked many others two.
High points
- The song arrangements. Everything sounded much better than on the record. Not so improvised, much more practiced.
- Bruce's singing. Having backup singers who actually can sing well, made him sing better too.
- The general mood on stage - everyone seemed to have fun.
- the sound of the band. New and fresh and very ESB unlike - nice change.
Low points:
- the audience. The only response Bruce got came from the first few rows and a few selected people further back. It took them 4 songs (or 5) to finally rush the stage and the sing along was pathetic for most part. I found the reception of the show rather cold.
- the mixing was awful for the first few songs - Bruces voice sounded a bit "overdone" and the drums were too much front. Got much better later.

[][]Yea DT---all you ever do is bitch and moan---why are you even on a Springsteen site? [/]
Because he keeps us from becoming The Lake. [/]
All by his lonesome? That's an awful lot of responsibility for one person . . .

I'm curious why everyone here acts like everyone over there thinks that Springsteen can do no wrong. There are as many thoughtful discussions over there as there are over here.

There's a lot more "I love it!!!" over there. And on BTX. It feels G-rated.

I was there last night and it was a truly great show. All the songs were easy to join in with. Standouts for me were Johnny 99 and We shall Overcome, keep it up Bruce!! [:"red"] [/]
