I've often wondered about it. If Bruce were to play with four others, who would they be? Not necessarily replacing the originals one-for-one, (You don't need an old guy, or two Englishmen.) mix them up. Sessions players for drums, etc. are OK too.
I'd go with:
Neil Young (naturally)
Steve Miller
Dave Mason
Keith Urban (in the Petty slot)
