I was listening to the radio yesterday and heard Robin Williams sing Elmer Fudd sing "Fire".  It struck me in today's PC climate that those lyrics would be offensive and considered sexual assault.

"I'm pulling you close
You just say no
You say you don't like it
But girl I know you're a liar
'Cause when we kiss
Ooooh, Fire

Late at night
I'm takin' you home
I say I wanna stay
You say you wanna be alone
You say you don't love me
Girl you can't hide your desire"

I suppose there are a lot of older songs that wouldn't fly in today's world - not trying to make any profound political statement, it just got me thinking.

I would have thought the obvious example is:

Hey little girl, is your daddy home?
Did he go away and leave you all alone?
I got a bad desire
Oh, I'm on fire

I've never felt entirely comfortable with those lyrics despite being assured that they don't really mean how they read....

I find the second verse even more irretating:

...
And can he [daddy] do to you the things that I do? Oh no
I can take you higher
Oh, I'm on fire

Endlessly discussed for years and years.  However name me one heterosexual teen that didn't think exactly that about the crush he had in high school or college or  a working teen during those same 'Grownin' Up' years.
