Letter to you documentary coming to AppleTV on October 23rd

Have Apple TV as part of my broadband package, so that's good news. Hope it's made available to rent on other platforms at some stage

I'm not in the Apple ecosystem, however I would imagine via the magic of bootlegggin this will be available online within hours elsewhere, fingers crossed

Looking forward to this, thanks for the post.

Find it a bit disappointing to rul out so many people by choosing just only AppleTV+ 

Titled Bruce Springsteen's Letter to You, Thom Zimny's feature-length doc will premiere exclusively on AppleTV+ as an Apple Original Film (and many will be happy to know that AppleTV+ offers a seven-day free trial).

Yep, there's a seven day free trial. Also, even if you subscribe you can cancel after just a month and it will cost you $£€4.99. I paid €20+ to see Western Stars in the cinema with my wife, so I guess it depends on whether you want to pay for this. That said, the increasing fragmentation of TV/movies/sports across multiple platforms is an absolute pain in the hole.

There is quite some confusion regarding the apple product names. As I understand it: 

- Apple TV 4K: Streaming HW (5th generation)

- Apple TV HD: Streaming HW (4th generation)

- Apple TV+: Video on demand service

Apple TV+ (the video on demand service) can be watched on many devices. Not only the above mentioned apple devices. You can also watch it within a browser on any OS (Windows, Linux, Android, OS X, iOS, ...), some modern Smart TVs (Samsung, LG, Sony, ...) or on Amazons Fire TV stick. I guess there are some more options.

So actually no one with a computer or one of the above mentioned devices is ruled out.

I tried the free trial yesterday evening and watched some episodes of "Long way up" within chrome browser under Win10 without any problems.
