Someone put this on Instagram. Is this from a documentary? Has it been out there? I didn't realize when I titled it that it was the whole song. Always was a short one.

I'm guessing this is from Manchester on the 13th, just like it says in th script rolling by.
It appears that Brucebase had the video up at one point but it is not up now. I believe Jake still works on Brucebase, maybe he can find out about the missing video? Of course, it could be for legal reasons, if it was official..
From Brucebase:

Show was rescheduled from March 23. World premiere of "Johnny Bye-Bye", with different lyrics to the version released on the single B-side in 1985. "This Land Is Your Land" is dedicated to Bob Marley who had died earlier that day in Miami, FL, and includes Bruce's "streets of Brixton" verse. Roy plays the piano intro before "The River". "The Price You Pay" is a full band version. "Detroit Medley" includes "I Hear A Train". First ever performances in England of "The Ties That Bind", "Factory", "Fire", and "The Price You Pay".

Don't think that one's from '81. Definitely from the BUSA Tour by his look and similarity to this one from Providence in '85.

Yeah definitely from 84/85. Hair and muscles and the arrangement.

I didn't listen to it word for word but I think the lyrics are from an earlier version than 85. I could be wrong. Let me know what you think?

It looks pro-shot maybe it's a live studio before the BITUSA tour.
Charlotte 1/16? Perhaps it comes from the footage shot at that show?
I was just chatting with Frank. They officially released Johnny Bye Bye 3 times all from 1981 none from 85. One was from Manchester but not that show on the 13th. It was a bit earlier, June 5th.
The slow arrangement in 81 is completely different than the 84/85 rockabilly version. That video clip on the first post is clearly of the 84/85 arrangement.
Bruce never looked like that in 81 in any event. clearly a BITUSA look
Late to the party...again.
Not Manchester '81.
I was there. Didn't look like that, and it sounds different to the circulating audio.

Pete comes out of retirement to solve this definitively with a little help from Shabby.
It's great seeing Clarence moving around like the athlete he was.
Good job. I searched YT but didn't realize that it would not be titled by the song but by the show.
I have had a VHS copy of this since the mid-late 80s. It was supposed to be footage shot for use by a US prime time news program like ‘60 minutes’ or ‘20/20’ and such for a segment on Bruce. The circulating quality was very very good.
From Brucebase:
'. The soundboard audio is sourced from video footage. Sixty minutes of pro-shot video footage filmed with a single camera is circulating amongst collectors. This footage is comprised of eleven songs; "Darlington County", "Johnny 99", "Darkness On The Edge Of Town", Reason To Believe", "Johnny Bye-Bye", "Out In The Street", "Glory Days", "The Promised Land", "Dancing In The Dark" (start cut), "Hungry Heart" and "Cadillac Ranch".

I believe it was for a 20/20 special that aired a few months after the show along with an interview.
