Many of us recall Bruce appearing with him. I was at a small house concert with him several years ago, he was good. I felt he kept looking at me. I said, wow, I have to really pay attention and look like I am into it, but as I said, the show was good and he was engaging, I was pretty close. Little did I know that his girlfriend at the time was at the back of the room in line with me and that is who he was looking at. He said to me after the show, "I really appreciated your look, the fact that you were really paying attention and into the show." Hey, no problem man, good show! I didn't realize that was not his real name.

Wesley must have wanted to be an attorney.  I had to look up the definition of two lengthy words.  So... for those like me who are not as wordy as Mr. Stace, here are the definitions:

prelapsarian - (adjective) characteristic of the time before the Fall of Man; innocent and unspoiled

pastiched - (verb) imitate the style of (an artist or work)

Other than that I liked his essay with one exception.  I don't think Bruce uses the water as a trick to think those in the audience would think it was sweat.   First of all he sweats enough, which is why he uses the water... to cool the 'fk' off.  Second of all you can see him pouring water all over himself all the time.  At least I can.  I don't usually sit where Mr. Stace was in the Bob Euker seats.  I'm standing.

You're digging a little too deep there... Wesley.

By the way, he's playing next week in Philadelphia at the City Winery:

WXPN Welcomes: Josh Ritter (solo show) w/ Wesley Stace 9/29/2019
