Hi!

Thanks to the great help of a few SPL-members (you know who you are) I was able to replace most of my lossy audio copies.

There are still a few shows that I would love to replace with losless versions (preferring silver rips, but not necessary).

* 8-20-1981 - A Night For The Vietnam Veteran [Scorpio]
* 10-13-1986 - You Better Not Touch [Crystal Cat]
* 7-1-2000 - Legendary Night [Crystal Cat]

If you have what I want please consider the following:

- upload to ABMS (ask any show from my list and I'll do the same)
- or do a 'normal' trade with me (PM for further details)

Thanks,

Wiz.

Son we're lucky in this town, it's a beautiful place to be born...

That's fine, good luck.
Out of interest, what's the difference between the WW and the Scorpio release?

The Winged Wheel release uses an inferior tape (about a C+) while Scorpio uses the same superior tape (about a B) used by Flynn for his Written on the Wall release. I understand Ev2 issued a version of this show but I haven't heard it and don't know anything about it. Anyone?

* Beginning of "Who'll Stop The Rain?" mixed with the (very bad) soundboard source.
** Very small skip in the beginning

------

To keep people from asking:
Since this 'remaster' is from MarkP's master recording, this doesn't have the cuts every other release has.
'This Land Is Your Land' which was missing from other versions, is complete on this one.
'Twist & Shout' was missing half the song - it's complete on this one.
Only cut on this is in the beginning of "Who'll Stop The Rain?", which was on all the other version too. (Tried to fix it)
To sum it up, this is much better than all the old 'releases' of this legendary show.

'Editors' view: Probably the best show ever, definitely best Who'll Stop The Rain? he's ever played.

"Possibly the most emotional show of Bruce's career, this benefit show starts with an introduction by Bobby Mueller,
a disabled Vietnam veteran, and several band members reportedly had tears in their eyes when they started
'Who'll Stop the Rain?,' Credence Clearwater Revival's song about the Vietnam conflict.
Bruce himself was overcome with emotional during 'The River' and stopped singing at one point.
This show features the one and only performance of 'Ballad of Easy Rider.'" -theboots.net

"Only performance [ever] of Ballad Of Easy Rider.
This was a benefit for the Vietnam Veterans and features passionate versions of The River and Who'll Stop The Rain."

Thanks to Gchord for the artwork source, and let's not forget the man who we all owe a lot - Mark P. We can't thank you enough.

Wizardus,

As the Scorpio uses a better tape than the WW version I guess we'll upload that as part of the River Flood.

I've checked through my shows and I do have another version of A Night... different to the WW one.
As the disc split is D1 =15, D2 = 11 and D3 = 8 I'm sure it's the Scorpio one. It's not a silver rip, I've had it a long time, it's Shn and there are no Eac logs (no one bothered way back then). If no one else has a original rip or one with log files I'll upload it as part of the River Flood. Is that OK?
