It's tough with all the construction going on there. Someone has to get there early, set up camp, etc. Then you have to worry about the jack-offs that work the lots to let you into a specific area. Believe me, they're all assholes. Best thing would be for everyone to get there early then it's not a problem to have a nice get together.
11 or 14 would be easy for any travelers who are taking a bus in from NYC. The stage is at the A-D end, so if you have pit or floor tickets they let you in from the other end usually.
Oats told me in an email that he's consulting with a friend who should know better than we do where to pick. Let's give him a little while to hear back and let us know.
does anyone know what parking will be like? football games were horrible.
I spoke with someone from the Meadowlands today and they said the parking lots will all be open and there will be no busing from other lots like they do at the football games.
Both my buddy and I were tied up today however I should have a spot all picked out by the weekend. Check for updates. someone should start a list of who's coming. I'll bring a grill, beer and tunes, etc.
Tell Eugene not to bring anything as we want good weather not snow.

Then be sure to get there early, cause they WILL run out of spots for sure.
I have a pop up canopy to contribute. Giant's stadium rules for construction period say no reserving spots/all spots to be used for parking (no spots for seating/tailgating only)
We should pick a spot by a curb for more space to grill. I can drive by there today or tomorrow if no one knows the exact layout regarding grassy curbs.
We're looking at lot 16 will confirm tomorrow night as my buddy will be speaking to folks there tomorrow.
Everyone who is going should sign in on this thread and let others know when they are arriving. If a bunch of us arrive together I'm sure we can hold some spots epecially if we park and leave a space in between the vehicles.
Someone should give Madam Marie a heads up and see if they will be gringing the camper.
If memory serves lot 16 has a chain link fence bordering the perimeter. What about 18 near the blue sign on the map, the southern edge. I think there is a large grassy area there. Again, if you want I can drive by tonight and check it out.
I was wrong in looking at the map, the opoening south of lot 18 is actually the ticketbooths for parking when entering from Rte 3 Westbound.
From the Google map it looks like the East end of lot 16 abutts a grassy area but I am pretty sure there is a fence around the lot before you get to the grass. There are grassy areas on the south side of lot 16 but it looks like they are seperated from parking spots by a roadway.
I would suggest that as far as having room to hang out and grill the east side of lot 18 might be best.
I will drive by after work and see if I can get in and take a look.
OK, here's the scoop from my little exploratory mission.
LOT 16 East - As remembered, there is a fence along the perimeter of lot 16 on the east side. There are spaces along the edge but they butt up against the fence.
LOT 16 South - as it shows in the picture, there are somewhat grassy areas on the south but they are mostly covered with dumpsters and they are separated from parking spaces by a roadway for access to the rest of the lot. The grassy spots are also pretty small and have the main access road on the other side.
LOT 18 East - This would be ideal, except all the spaces that abut up to divider are handicapped. Not a good choice.
LOT 18 South - Similar to the dividers along 16 South only less grass and fewer dumpsters. This is not a bad choice, although there would be traffic between the parking and the tailgating setups.
LOT 14 East - This might be the best bet. There is a paved divider along the eastern edge, between the lot and the practice field, and spaces butt right up against that. Only thing is I'm not sure it will be a public lot. It is rather small and could be used for employee parking or some such thing.
LOT 17 North - This is probably the next best to 14 East, although it is a bit far from the entrance to the stadium. Spaces butt right up against the north curb and there is a relatively wide paved area between the lot and the access road.
Easy to get to and should be fairly easy to get out of, not to close and not to far. I'll have my charcoal grey Avalanche. We don't need grass as I'm sure they won't let us on it anyway.
