My first Springsteen show was 44 years ago today... C.W. Post College, 12/12/1975. Much to remember about that day - waiting for 8 hours outside the dome in 15 degree weather, ordering a pizza to be delivered to the radio station (next to the Dome... I was a DJ there), driking Peppermint Schnapps to keep warm, the crush outside the gate as showtime came and went (the show was about an hour late in starting), and a great memory. Nugs, are you listening - I want that show!!!

This is the concert that the official "Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town" was recorded at, and the resulting recording is now on heavy rotation on the radio every Christmas. In fact, the entire show was professionally recorded (along with several other shows in December) under the guidance of Jimmy Iovine as part of a plan to release a live album, making a future archival release possible.

In the 1987 BBC documentary Glory Days, Max Weinberg spoke about the premiere of "It's My Life" when he was asked if Bruce had ever launched into a song without telling the band what he was going to play. Max said that the band had never rehearsed the song before playing it in concert, but fortunately, they all knew it
