In Milan Bobby Jean was useless but the audience actually loved HH. And Darlington County. So somehow Bruce is right...

I should come up with a list of "do not play" songs, but the sign would take up all the pit whistle -- and still, he could put up a 100-song show I'd love...

Nowt wring with BJ or HH!! Add Downbound Train for real greatness!

"Nowt wring" perhaps means "now what's wrong" - I didn't know you can text message through SPL grin

Downbound Train is a big favorite of mine. In an entire different league than HH and Bobby Jean (writing the acronym sounds a tad weird)... hope he plays that in Barcelona !! [/quote]

completely agree with you. I'd be happy to hear Downbound Train in Barca.

Actually my sign, if any, will be Leap of Faith - but it's unlikely he's going to play that and there have always been signs for Lost in the Flood. Saint in the City would be nice too., never heard that.
Well, I don't believe I#ll get close enough to hold up a sign anyway.

Ok. I am back in hotel. Today's show was great. Actually I think it was clearly better than the first show. Yesterday was July 4 and he "had to" play something special, the expectations for that were clear: Born In The USA, Independence Day, Sandy etc. and of course Uncle Marsh and Sirius broadcast were also there. Thera were some strange short breaks, probably due to the broadcast. I think that Bruce just couldn't feel the full artistic freedom yesterday.

Somehow the second show had better intensity. Even Lonesome Day was good: it was just in the correct place at the correct time. The Rising is a great just after the slow song: it brings the audience back in action. It grows slowly and audience is rised to another level. Yesterday it didn't worked like that since it was played after This Hard Land, not after Indepence Day. The night #2 was simply better one.

Drive All Night was BRILLIANT! After six Magic show it is definitely the best performance I have heard.

Oh, after being in Milan I have to say that encore was a bit disapointing. It would have needed one more party song (like Ramrod, Kitty's Back, Detroit Medley) before Bobby Jean. If the show would have ended after American Land, it have been only 2 and the half hour show. Even now the show was about 15-20 min shorter than in Milan.

It was bound to be played, a banker, it has relevance in Gothenburg, and if you have seen the Amnesty Video, then you will have some idea of how it went down in Gothenburg tonight, it was a joyful celebration, and a song that typifies and ended perfectly one of the truly great performances, I have been priveledged to have witnessed.

Best not just to write LITF... he's probably seeing signs with that written and thinking we want to hear Living In The Future!

I was not even thinking about it, but you may be right. Maybe he would think I mispelled LIFT and play Lift me up. wink

Driving all night wink after the show coming home at 5 a.m. I?m too tired to write now.

We ended up pretty close to the main stage although we only came to the stadium around 3:30 p.m. .
The crowd was pushing hard from the back, standing pressed together so that you almost couldn?t breathe - so at one point we went a little more left which was a good decision.

I?m On Fire into Drive All Night made the whole trip worth it.
That was just beautiful - pure magic to me smile !

It was great to meet a few SPLers before the show - somat, Stampe, Shabby Dog, skywriter, Mando, TheRising, Rosalita77, calvino_pf - hope you guys enjoyed the night as much as we did...

Still the show couldn?t top Copenhagen laugh .

We are unified, still we're crucified, just because we live Across The Tracks

Glad to hear you had a great time - makes me happy to know the tix made you happy. smile
Setlist looks good from here, but nothing can top Hamburg for me grin

well, the f*ck up with the two queues ended more or less the following way: both were merged (7 from this and then 7 from the other line) in front of the gate, those (said to be about 500) got wristbands and were let in first (before the other gate and all others as well).

however, gothenburg shows were the first where the people acutally really walked in - bruce's camp reportedly said they were amazed and had never seen something like this.

ISO: Hamburg FoS & Amsterdam #2 FoS --- can trade for Gothenburg #2 FoS

They joined the two lines: first 7 from one, then 7 from the other and so so.

The people in the first line who thought that it was logical that the same line should apply for night 2 was - if you ask me - complete selfish assholes and bastards mad

Nice meeting you 2 also smile And I agree about the comparion between CPH and G?teborg. The crowd was much better in G?teborg than in Copenhagen but overall I prefer CPH. We're probably gonna take some heat saying this.

They can't have watched in the pit entry in CPH then. People also walk all the way across the field to get to the pit.
