Bruce Springsteen with photographer Danny Clinch (60 Minutes/CBS)

Photographer Danny Clinch has photographed great musicians from Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan to Lady Gaga. His photographs have appeared in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, among others. On the eve of the Grammys, 60 Minutes' Anderson Cooper interviews Clinch, who has also photographed the music industry’s big event for the past 13 years. "I'm trying to capture a moment. It's not about the singer at the microphone singing. I'm trying to look for...a moment in between," says Clinch.

Although Clinch (from Toms River, New Jersey) has taken the most photographs of the Boss, many consider his most iconic photograph the one of the late Tupac Shakur – shirtless with his hands behind his back. But one of Clinch’s best memories is the time he photographed James Brown at the Grammys in 2005. Clinch said: "When it came time for his assistant to hold up a sign that’s meant to identify each artist, [Brown] grabs the thing from him, ‘Gimme that! That’s my sign, I’ll hold that sign!’ and I click as he’s telling me that, it sums up the whole thing.” At another Grammy photo shoot, Clinch introduced Paul McCartney to B.B. King. With his incredible street cred in the music biz, Clinch has been directing music videos too, including Pearl Jam’s 'Mind Your Manners' (see below). Anderson's interview with Clinch will air on 60 Minutes (February 14) at 7pm on CBS.
