Does anyone have any info? It's just curiosity. For example, how did his relationship with Karen Darvin end up? Where can i see with in his work? Is that this The Promice? Anyone else apart Goldsmith and the Nukes nights?

I read an article about the girl that was Rosalita. Actually her grandmother was named Rosa. I cannot recall her surname. She was interviewed and she said that she went backstage in a Rising (i think) show and she met with Bruce after almost 30 years!!! She also introduced her husband to Bruce!!!

What's that feeling? I have had one separation already and i have never met her since - accidentally or not. What's that feeling?

The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows.

I alway thought Be True & Mary Lou were about a real relationship.
I don't have any facts to back that up.

Be true

Your scrapbook's filled with pictures of all your leading men
Well baby don't put my picture in there with them
Don't make us some little girl's dream that can't ever come true
That only serves to hurt and make you cry like you do
Well baby don't do it to me and I won't do it to you

You see all the romantic movies, you dream and take the boys home
But when the action fades you're left all alone
You deserve better than this, little girl, can't you see that you do
Do you need somebody to prove it to you?
Well you prove it to me and I'll prove it to you

Now every night you go out looking for true love's satisfaction

You're scrapbook's filled with pictures of all your leading men

Don't make us some little girl's dream that can never come true
Oh baby don't do it to me I won't do it to you

Mary Lou, I'm not like all those other guys
Mary Lou, I won't fill your pretty head with their pretty lies
Mary Lou, and dreams that never, never, never ever will come true
Mary Lou, that'd only serve to hurt and make you cry like you do

You've seen all the romantic movies, you dream and take the boys home
But when the action fades you're left all alone
You deserve more than this, a real love that can grow
And I ain't playin' outtakes, girl, from some late late show, no

Mary Lou, you're not like all those others girls
Mary Lou, so afraid to shake up that real world

Every night you go out looking for true love's satisfaction
But you allways end up setting for just lights, camera, action
And another cameo role with some bit player you're befriending
You're gonna go broken-hearted looking for that happy ending

Mary Lou, I've seen all those movies too
Mary Lou, I know the hurt too much dreaming can do
Mary Lou, you're gonna end up just another lonely ticket sold
Mary Lou, crying alone in the theatre as the credits roll
Let's go
Well, the most 'love' song of Born To Run is Thunder Road. Next year he began singing The Promise and inside the song he sings: "Thunder Road, oh baby you were so right / Thunder Road, there's something dying on the highway tonight". Thunder Road is full of highways. "When the Promise was broken i was far away from home / sleeping in the back seat of a borrowed car". Maybe he was on tour when they broke up.
I don't believe it's about the lawsuit.

how do they sound to you?

The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows.

After reviewing the thunder road lyrics, I don't think they are about love, but more about lust.
Quote:
darling you know just what I'm here for

He tells her she is a tramp.
Quote:
They scream your name at night in the street
Your graduation gown lies in rags at their feet

This isn't a proposal, it is a proposition
Quote:
The door's open but the ride it ain't free

He hasn't promised anything yet, and he doesn't plan to tonight.
Quote:

And I know you're lonely
For words that I ain't spoken
But tonight we'll be free
All the promises'll be broken

Back Streets is the love song off of B2R. TR is the promise of a temporary reprieve from daily existence.

The Promise is about looking back at what you were running from and what lies ahead is not always better whether it be a metaphor for relationships or everyday life.

In the basement at St. Johns well I found her where she fell

Just another busted sister of Heartbreak Hotel

Backsteets, to my ears, is very sexual

"You could hear the whole damn city crying blame it on the lies that killed us
Blame it on the truth that ran us down you can blame it all on me Terry
It don't matter to me now when the breakdown hit at midnight
There was nothing left to say but I hated him and I hated you when you went away

Laying here in the dark you're like an angel on my chest
Just another tramp of hearts crying tears of faithlessness"
