Eddie Vedder was in an E Street mood during his Sunday, Feb. 6, solo show at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.

The Pearl Jam frontman hung out with Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa before the concert.

“I came in today feeling pretty (blanking) inspired because I got to hang out with the Boss,” said Vedder said toward the end of the show. “You know, spend a little time with the Boss and Patti. She's the Boss, too. Love you Patti!”

After the Springsteen shoutout, Vedder and the Earthlings played “I Am a Patriot” from Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul's 1984 album “Voice of America.” Check out the performance in Sammy Steinlight's YouTube here, but watch Vedder's language.

“I spent a lot of time with this song ... last summer with the words of Mr. Steven Van Zandt,” Vedder said. “Little Steven I love you. I love your tea, and I love this song.”

Van Zandt's “Wicked Cool Wellness” line offers several different teas to “help you change the world,” according to wickedcoolwellness.com.

Vedder also brought another Jersey friend on stage Sunday. Celeb photographer Danny Clinch, a Toms River native, joined in on harmonica on the song “Try,” as he did at Vedder's Feb. 3 and 4 shows at the Beacon Theater in New York City.
