I see Curt Ramm in the band but I don’t think that’s Max on drums
Here we go!!!
So Bruce does Stevie…ok
Seems E-Street-Band is not involved
I watched…..didn’t convince me of anything other than the fact that it’s good to hear Bruce and in fairness, it’s just not my genre of music. But I will listen…..
The fine old tradition of bad lip syncing! Like the old BitUSA times...
In between there were some great examples how it should be done: Brilliant disguise, Streets of Philadelphia, Lonesome day, ...
My immediate impression when Bruce started speaking to introduce the vdeo was "what's wrong with his voice".
Considering he's promoting the album as featuring his singing, I'm very NOT impressed so far. Great song, though!
Landau? Are you listening?
Now, here is how you can make up for this whole dynamic pricing thing:
Release the fucking "Tracks Of My Tears"-Outtake alongside the official album...
and we're even.
There is no way Bruce did not try to record that song. Release those takes, charge as much as you want.
Sooz and Patti are with the background singers and the E Street Horn Section.

Agreed. Be nice to listen to once but that may be it. If this features heavily in the new tour, I am really glad I didn't plunk down a mortgage payment on tickets. I am sure I would have still had a great time (I would have fun seeing Bruce sing nursery rhymes with the full band) but not worth the $.
Have not seen the video yet, but heard it on E Street Radio. My first impression was positive. If this was a surprise inclusion in the encores, I think people would enjoy it a lot. It’s a good ‘get off your butt and on your feet’ number.
I do have a personal fondness for 60’s soul, from Detroit to Atlanta to Philly and all parts in between. (But also raised on such various music as show tunes, Velvet Underground, Hendrix, British invasion and pop.) Always liked it even way back when young Bruce pulled out cover songs in his sets.
Weather a full album of covers will be satisfactorily digestible (to me) is yet to be seen. But I don’t think that a song or two inserted into the second set or popped into encores would be ‘disruptive’ to any flow. From Pretty Flamingo to Rave On to Trapped to Boom Boom to Satan’s Jeweled Crown et al, he has a pretty damn good track record on cover songs. And most long time hard core fans have always enjoyed live cover compilations. And The Pit has more requests than occupants at any show.
As far as any comments on his voice, I have no qualms. We all can’t age like silk and be James Taylor. - Be very grateful that Bruce hasn’t aged to sound like Bob Dylan. Don’t get me wrong, big Dylan fan, but if I want to listen to Bob’s ‘current vocalization style’, I’ll listen to Mongolian rock band Wolf Totem first.
And second.
And…Third.

Love it to death! Can't wait for the LP. After 44 years as a fan, it still surprises what he does next. Just as long as he doesn't turn into Rod Fuckin' Stewart!
Backstreets reported:

I'll say this about it, they look like they are all having a ball, maybe not Bruce but everyone else for sure. I think I'd like a tour of this music before Seeger Sessions any day of the week. But like a few other old folks on this site that got their nurses to wheel them over to the laptop. I was exposed to this music about as much as I was to Rock and Roll... as was Bruce.

Nope, not Patti............ that's Lisa Lowell

You're a bit late to that party, Read the entire thread.
And who’s the “headless” bass player? 🤷♂️

I like Rod Stewart...

Ahh yes, the mythical bass player from Sleepy Hollow, NY.
Just listen to that bass...
You have to follow the link to appreciate the bass.
The bass player’s Ron Aniello I think.
There's also Ed Manion & Clark Gayton in the video. One of the violin players seems to be Katie Jacoby.
But who's on drums? Looks a bit like Zack Alford.
I did as well, until 1978.

He is actually one of my favorites. Did a great slow version of Hungry Heart.
Seen him live 3 times but the last time was a while ago (over 20 years ago).
