I have several boxes of photos from the last 20 years.
I am trying to put them in chronological order.
Some are dated, so they are easy.
Some I can tell by the picture, but some are not that obvious.

The backprint on the photos is different and I am sure there must be some way to tie this to a year. Has anyone ever done this or seen it on the WWW?

What do you mean by backprint? Like a watermark on the paper or something?
It wouldn't by an accurate method - it would only say when it was developed, not when it was taken. I'm sure places like Eckerd Drug, Costco, KMart just use the paper until they need more...

But it might help in some way or another.
I've given up on that.
It would give me a couple year time frame, but I can alreay do that from the picture.

Tonight I was working on 1998. In the summer of that year Teen Gob snipped a lock of hair out of her bangs. She didn't think anyone would notice. Turns out she was wrong.

Prior to this she had a Page Boy. We fixed her cut by giving her a Dorthy Hammil-ish cut. So I was able to date a lot of picture by the befor and after cuts.
