This dynamic BS pricing is driving up the prices as people are buying them. Thanks Ticketmaster. Thanks Bruce.
I have heard crazy crazy prices
I was prepared for $400 or so.
My jaw dropped seeing some of the prices.
It appears it’s like the HOV lanes here in DC- as the demand goes up during the sales so do the prices!!!!? Is that what is going on? Not sure if I can justify multiple shows at that price. Yikes
It's a 650 mile drive each direction to the nearest show (Portland) and I got my verification code. Even though I have a free place to stay when I get there, it's still a three day excursion. Then there's this "dynamic" pricing (the better name should be "greedy" or more bluntly "fuck you,") I've love to see at least one show, but sometimes we can't get what we want. So I'll stick to Nugs downloads of the best shows this time around and at least get what I need.
Even though they are not saying it's a farewell tour, it's pretty obvious that this tour is the "our children and grandchildren our taken care of in perpetuity" tour.
nobody wins unles Bruce's pocket wins
That's ridiculous. I just can't believe people are willing to spend that kind of money for the 73 year old version of him and the band. He has sounded remarkably good for his age in the one-offs he has done but no way can I justify a couple of grand for one show.
A guy on BTX reported he was about to grab a GA for Tulsa for $329 but before he could complete the sale it jumped to 825, he threw it back then got one for 428.
Ridiculous! Denver prices are through the roof. I'm not paying $300 for nosebleeds.
Following along on the Lake: "For those who are still following along - at 11:45 there was a large drop of very good tickets, but every damned one of them were Platinum prices, more than double the original on sale prices available during the first hour. Only the top most sections and behind the stage are available for less than $500, even these recently released seats "
I mean, the originally marked face value of the tickets were insane, let alone holding back loads that you can mark up even higher. That's just a shitty thing to do.
Actually, those aren't even available. Now its thousands for any floor seats and almost that for anything else. I'm guessing these are all getting bought up by re-sellers. I'm banking on tickets being much cheaper months down the road.
I'm calling BS on this system. Any ticket that comes up as available, when you click on it automatically says it was already bought!
Glad I am seeing this before my shows go on-sale next week. I will look but if I don't see any good seats at their original price (which is already ridiculous), I will pass and know I can put that money towards a vacation or my kids college and not subsidize this BS.
Well I'm glad I checked in here, don't feel quite so bad about what I just paid for Denver tickets. Shocked to see over $1000 each for main floor halfway back! Landed about 12 rows up in the lower section more or less behind the mixing board for $300 each (plus fees, grrr). Might not be close but the sound should be rocking!
One thing for sure from me guys is that this tour is it for me. Ive splashed out for the shit hole known a shyde park and a premium tivket and hotel (lets hope they dont turn the power off again).
so ashmaed of thes eprices
hope you all get what you wnt at a dceent price
Went in for the general public sale at 3:00. Queue paused for an hour about 3:10 or so.
Queue went down quickly after it came back.
Everything is verified resale.
Tampa, Orlando, Hollywood, Boston.
argh
I am stunned that Bruce is on board with this racket. I love the man, the band and the music, but I can't justify paying so much to see a show. I'm already pouring money I don't have into a charity that gives me the warm fuzzies. I can't see a way to fork so much over for a concert without hurting the young folks at Youth Journalism International who inspire me even more than Bruce does. This seems like a sad, sad day.
Bruce is rightly getting lambasted on Twitter.
Over $2,100 a ticket before fees for Boston:
Glad I was flying from Ft. Laud, to Baltimore, to NYC, then a train & bus to NNJ. Missed it all, lol.
It would be cheaper to get good seats to Tulsa, fly to the show, stay over for 2 nights than it will be to just get tickets to the Northeast shows.
Be great is if people created song request signs, they stuck with the theme of this ticket price debacle. Songs like (the opposite of "We Take Care of Our Own"):
Best.post.ever!!!
aint got you
Cheapest single in Hollywood, $1227(with fees). And it says verified resale. I thought TM was selling direct to people, and no resales. What's up with that?
Cheaper to fly/drive to Orlando or Tampa, buy a cheap single for $150, and get a hotel room for the night.
I’m gobsmacked at the prices being quoted here. Shameful

TM gets to double-dip on the fees. They are making a fortune (as is Bruce). It's maddening because we are the ones paying.
I ain't paying thoase prices. I paid 500-600 to see him on Broadway, in addition to the other 85-90 times I paid to see him. In the words of the great Roberto Duran, "NO MAS"!
I'm with ya, this may be a first for me... I may be a no show.
Looks like you americans and us danes pay just about the same for a ticket. Except we pay in kroner, you pay in $.

I'll translate, first the PG translation: Holy mackerel, what the hay, these gosh darn ticket prices are unusually high.
2nd the R rated translation: Holy Christmas, what the hell... these fuckin' ticket prices are out of this world.

You pretty much got it!!
GAs in Denver are at $1900 right now. I'm pretty sure re-sale prices will come down when the initial fervor wears off. I don't think anyone is going to pay these exorbitant prices. (at least I hope not) I've seen Bruce enough times and if prices don't come down I'll be sitting this one out.
Maybe it’s just the altitude in Denver driving up the prices and not dynamic pricing and greed!!!!!
Glad outlets like Variety are picking up on this story and reaching out to Bruce's camp ("Springsteen’s camp declined comment"):
Bruce Springsteen Fans Furious as Ticketmaster Tix Go as High as $4-5K - Variety
The article includes this bit as well:
"If the Verified Fan system and fast-escalating prices were designed to thwart scalpers, there was some question how successful that was. Late in the day, the seating chart for the Tulsa, Oklahoma show appeared to show about a fifth of the seats in the arena already having been turned around and put up for sale on the secondary market via Ticketmaster’s resale program, where individual sellers who want to pass on their tickets are free to set their own prices."
Don't know which bitching thread to post too..but I wanted to drop in and see how the diehard were thinking about this. lol
As much as I have been off the wagon on Bruce for a few years. ( I do listen on my mp3 player in the yard and Sirius in the car). This is a huge disappointment as I was actually looking forward to seeing Bruce and you guys in Philly if we got lucky.
But now I am not going to help TM and Bruce with this fiasco. I actually hope I am working so I don't have to try to stop myself from trying for tickets.
Bruce started with the Broadway tickets, and while I didn't want to go, it did sadden me that he was shutting out the very people who have followed him for so many years. Only now it is worse. What a joke these prices are and how they escalate. Never thought Bruce and company would become scalpers.
It would have been great if he came out and said something today. Hopefully he was just ignorant and didn't know about supply and demand aspects of the prices. But I am so disappointed at what he has become the past few years that this isn't a shock. And I am really very sad about feeling this way about him. So many great years...... so many great shows
Glad I didn't get that tattoo
Wish you all luck with the tickets..

Karen,
One thing about Philly, it's not tickets through TM.
So get over there and pre-register... who knows maybe the prices will be more realistic. Good Luck to you too.
