Envious x2!

But then, hey...

I was at one too:

2013-07-05 Mönchengladbach: "One Way Street"

My hometown! Who'd have thought he would ever play there. Certainly not me in the 80s... Not a bad show either.

Ya gotta realize us folks that lived in NJ or NYC  got to see a lot of rehearsal shows.  We'd hear the entire albums first. Even excluding those, we have the chance to see a lot more shows in our area...

We call that... home field advantage.

Sweet memories...

I had to consult Brucebase just to be sure on these. Not a whole lot compared to others, but here they are:

10-22-1984: “Shut Out the Light” (one of the most moving moments ever in a concert. By the second verse, one could feel the crowd's intense silence as they listened. )

9-23-88: “I Ain’t Got No Home”

10-28-95: Bridge School Benefit, “Ghost of Tom Joad,” “Sinaloa Cowboys,” and in an excerpt, “I Don’t Want No More of Army Life," the only performance ever.

10-28-99: full band “Sinaloa Cowboys”

"I've done my best to live the right way"

I think Bruce hates me

1985-07-03 - London Wembley Stadium - SEEDS
2013-07-23 - MILLENNIUM STADIUM, CARDIFF, WALES - TV Movie / WE GOTTA GET OUT OF THIS PLAC

Unilke many of you, i only have 19 shows to draw from over the years, but I have 4 world premieres and 2 second ever performances.  Countless tour debuts however, but that's another thing.

1984-07-26 CNE Grandstand, Toronto Ontario - My Father's House
1985-01-27 Carrier Dome, Syracuse, NY - Rockin' All Over The World (John Fogerty)
2003-09-10 Skydome, Toronto - My Ride's Here (Warren Zevon)

2008-08-24 Sprint Center, Kansas City, MO- Ricky Wants A Man Of Her Own -  Boys -  both only performance

Not the victory but the action; Not the goal but the game; In the deed the glory

Off hand, among ‘world premiers’...

December 2, 1975 Music Hall, Boston, MA - Santa Claus is Coming To Town.

Every premiere 1st night of the 1988 Tunnel tour in Worcester, MA.

I’d have to research all the rest.

Do club shows with Joe Grushecky or the American Babylon mini tour count? Then I’d have to toss in a Tramps, a Tradewinds, and a Stone Pony with premiers if you count Bruce as part of Joe’s band as premiere songs.

Hey guys. Nice topic Rick.

Only 12 shows seen down under for me (so far ) but a handful of debuts apparently.

(Love Is Like a) Heat Wave -  Adelaide Entertainment Centre Adelaide - 2014/02/12

Was cool, well actually damn hot which is why he played this gem. Was in the low 40s celcius that day (that's around 108f), he brought out a bunch of costumes, feathers and such ala New Orleans. Very cool way to start the show!

Hunter Of Invisible Game -

-  Adelaide Entertainment Centre Adelaide - 2014/02/12

This was soo great. The focus of the band and Bruce, doing his best "band leader". Awesome.

Don't Hang Up - AAMI Park Melbourne - 2017/02/02

From Brucebase ...his only ever rendition of the 1962 hit by American R&B group The Orlons. He dedicates the song to Malcolm Turnbull, the Australian Prime Minister who had an abrupt end to his phone call with President Trump yesterday. He introduces the song by saying "We stand before you as embarrassed Americans tonight… we're gonna use this to send a letter back home."

Cheers,

Hazy

Fortunate to have several nice premieres and some one offs, the most notable for me being:

8/17/84 Follow that Dream (the new version) and I'm Going Down

7/30/92 All the Way Home

7/31/92 Pony Boy and Cross My Heart

3/18/99 My Love Will Not Let You Down and  Land of Hope and Dreams

8/1/99 Trouble River

8/31/03 Cynthia

11/22/09 Restless Nights and The Angel

9/21/12 Living on the Edge of the World

5/8/13 Wages of Sin

5/17/14 Racing in the Street 78

5/18/14 Seven Angels

July 23, 2005 Atlanta - Valentines Day.  After the song the crowd gave a knowing extended ovation.  The house lights were turned on and Bruce acknowledged the lighting crew for understanding  the significance.  That was preceded by Sad Eyes and followed by Lost in the Flood, not premieres but one of my favorite 3 song runs ever.

You Can Look (Cleveland, 10-7-1980)

Be True (8-26-1984)

Wooly Bully (8-28-1984)  (first E Street Band performance)

"Straight Time", "Highway 29", "Dry Lightning", "Youngstown", "The Line", "Balboa Park", "Across The Border", "Dead Man Walkin'", "Galveston Bay", and "My Best Was Never Good Enough".  (11-21-195)

Back in Your Arms 8-4-1999

Code of Silence 6-12-2000

Another Thin Line 6-22-2000

Cynthia 8-31-2003

People Have The Power 10-1-2004

Better Man 10-13-2004

The Iceman 5-17-2005

Rumble 11-21-2005

American Land 6-22-2006

You're Own Worst Enemy 10-10-2007

Restless Nights 11-22-2009

Livin On the Edge of the World 9-21-2012

Meet Me in the City & Rebel Rebel 1-16-2016

Take it Easy 1-19-2016

Hmmm no actual premieres but:

Does this bus stop (Seeger sessions version) Wembley 12/11/06

Also at the London O2 show in 2007 - Racing and Jungleland were played in the same show for the first time since the BITUSA tour - Not really a premiere as such but felt very significant!

Oh yes Racing and Jungleland in the same show, definitely very significant!! Nice

Cheers,

Let’s Be Friends, Connecticut 9/16/2003

Both of those nights were great.  I think the band played with more intensity on the 18th, the hurricane was heading our way and the rain held off until the latter part of the show.  I got Incident (Solo Piano).  Souls of the Departed was the only sound soundchecked and it opened the show.  It had not been played before but if i remember correctly, Bruce played it at Shea Stadium.  Ally stayed awake on the long ride home thru the torrential downpour.  She told me after the ride she stayed awake to talk with me so I wouldn't fall asleep as it was slow driving all the way.
