Then they purchase a bootleg, and out of respect for some odd reason, they refuse to share with the rest of the community?

I understood SPL policy, as recently demonstrated, is to ban all references to the sale of bootlegs. Surely, requesting details of where to buy bootlegs is no different and should be treated the same way. I assume requesting information on where to buy NYCBC, DVDDubbingGuy etc videos is not allowed. And please don’t tell me that Godfather and Crystal Cat are any different. They are still bootleggers and the only difference between them and the likes of NYCBC and DVDDubbingGuy is that they (CC and Godfather) produce their bootlegs on a commercial basis ie with factory produced disks and artwork whereas the likes of NYCBC and DVDDubbingGuy produce their stuff at home. Also, let us not forget that both CC and Godfather are not averse to ‘borrowing’ recordings and marketing them as their own.
I actually do support the SPL ideal of not allowing bootlegs to be sold (directly or indirectly) on the SPL but this policy needs to be consistent and applicable to all bootleg recordings whether, they are 1 or 20 years old, home produced , factory produced or on vinyl. To claim there is a difference is a bit like claiming there are 50 types of prostitute. They may be different ages, have different features and offer different services but if they take payment for it they are a prostitute.

Happy to observe the rules if they make sense......but there is chatter about the fact "releases" are available for download. Doesn't Sirius even play them ? ( or is that just Scoper, Essex Boy type recordings rather than CC or Godfather)
