I know!!! It'll be 3 tours in 5 years!! Unbelievable
Now the question is, will we get recent Europe type shows or recent US type shows. My guess would be the former...too many generic fans down here.
At least it's not called The River Tour any longer.
I'll hopefully be going to the Perth show but also interested in Hanging Rock. Anybody have any experience of that venue and local accomodation?
Its a great day at Hanging Rock. Went to both shows there back in 2014. Lots of food vendors a great location, an isolated field on an incline and the rock formation lit up in the background when facing the stage. Only draw back was the small close together garden chairs. Behind that is hill that a lot of people on picnic blankets. Near the stage was the pit ofcourse.
Will not make the mistake of the garden chairs again, am gonna get pit tickets this time!!
Looks like we'll get Jet and Deisel in the afternoon too which will be great.
Didnt stay there so can't help with accomodation but would think there's not a lot around and you'd have to book really early. I seem to recall buses were being run from nearby towns.

I'm hoping to get to 3 shows, Adelaide, Melbourne AAMI Park and Hanging Rock.
What's up with him having opening acts? "Jet"? "Diesel"?

Thanks for the info - will need to negotiate with Mrs pk . Must admit to not having heard of either Jet or Diesel.
By the way, correction the previous shows were in 2013.
General Admission (Front Standing) | $249.00 |
That's €167 or US$187.
I saw $253 AUD

Thanks for the heads up. Good news was that as a result of my meeting on Tuesday I picked up some work to pay for my next flights out (and tickets!) Bad news was that I started the job today, so thought it wouldn't be a great idea to be constantly monitoring Ticketek So only found out when I got home. However I still managed to pick up seats but only slightly further down than previous ones. But can't really complain, two shows better than none Wondering what the chances are of seeing a full River at the second show?
Excellent!! 2 shows are definitely better than 1!!
Yeah this tour isn't called the The River Tour so even less chance than there was on the actual River Tour to get the whole album, which wasn't great from when the tour moved to Europe.
I'd love to see the whole album my friend but don't think we'll get it I'm afraid
Also I don't think that most of the Aussie knuckle heads will tolerate it really. They what the greatest hits show...
Frontier touring also announced on twitter today (Nov 01) that there are extra tickets available for Christchurch.

So a third Perth show - not sure if my finance manager will sanction it but will start negotiations
Good luck!!
Tickets for the first Perth show now going for $99 (not what I paid ). Think they may have overestimated demand? Hope the arena won't be half empty for the first show of the tour.

I'd say (hope) they just have a few tickets left they want get rid of. Don't think they would've sold 2 more shows if they hadn't already sold enough for the first. Shouldn't be half empty.
