The post I deleted was a one liner that said something like "Ok you win as you can beat me in a fight". I changed my mind a couple of minutes later, deleted it, and answered more fully after I ate breakfast. Big big deal. I don't hide behind a computer screen, people who know me know I am happy to share all my opinions face to face, but you feel free to imply that I am a chicken and you are the big man. It's an internet forum so yes I will continue to post my views from a computer. 

The more you write the more you avoid the main question - do you sell full show BD versions of the taster videos you link to here and that you downscale and post on JL. The answer we all know is yes. I will leave you now to count your bootleg earnings on your imaginary high moral ground....... 

This is tricky territory... I can say that DDG has on his side the fact that he offers for free his products in DVD quality.

Personally I don't understand why nobody uploads the BD versions to ABMS... maybe some months after their release. People should have learned by now that the more you share, the more you get.

I think that's because DDG har asked (= demanded) that his work/releases is not to be shared om ABMS and people do that because if they didn't we wouldn't see anything at all, not even at JL. We have been over this discussion several times before - there was a time when DDB openly posted his releases for sale on this forum. He doesn't anymore and that's good. I don't care what he does with his great stuff away from this site but around here it's allways been about sharing without paying.

So to summarise he is a commercial bootlegger. His announcements of free downloadable product act as adverts to help him sell bootlegs of the same product, albeit it in a higher resolution format. So no potential bias in his claims of quality or attacks on other bootleggers then! 

Sax Man, I give a shit on that .... DDG is giving enough of his great work for free. When I started listening Bruce in the early eighties it was unthinkable to enjoy all this fantastic stuff one day. 

When I was 19, in the mid 90's, I was ripped off by an italian Bruce fanclub owner (italians here know the fucker that I'm talking about), who charged me the equivalent of today 50 euros for a shitty unwatchable very high generation Largo 80 VHS.

Believe me, what DDG does is a blessing if compared to what used to happen inside Bruce community in those days...

If DVDDG wants to sell Blueray versions of the stuff he uploads for free, that's his prerogative. I personally am glad to have the free DVDs he uploads as I don't ever intend purchasing a bootleg again, and in some cases I get to relive shows I was at (looking forward to seeing Milano and Padova!)

Add the genius and generosity of the JEMS team to the mix, and essentially we're living in a golden age for bootlegs. Long may it continue.

Yep, the general quality of boots has raised dramatically since the 90s which is great, and I have made no criticism of DDG's product or personal choice to sell. But he is the same as other bootleggers, you may prefer his stuff, you may prefer other labels. He continually attacks their product and therefore their reputation, and he thinks that somehow what he does is different to them from a fan/morality perspective. It isn't. I love my real disc collection, and as a fan I want to defend that product because its quality is continually under attack when most differences between product is down to personal choice, unless of course you are special and have the ears of bat!

The other issue is that plenty of indiscreet bootleggers have appeared over the 4 decades of Bruce boots. They tend to disappear quickly because they get caught. So being blatant on here, and especially on that little known site youtube, is crazy. DDG is obviously someone I would not get on with in the real world, but as a human being I would recommend he stops selling BD and just uploads stuff for free. He is too well known by his own self promotion. I do not believe he is selling in anything other than very small quantities so that small reward doesn't warrant the huge risks he is taking that have messed up many peoples lives who have tried before him.
