In 23 years I have never walked out of a gig feeling so flat as I did last night, there was no thought at all given to the set list, we got Brilliant Disguise because the howling wolf has returned, the sooner those two fucking divorce the better, they are a fucking sham, it was irrelevant, totally boring, and insipid performance, I had doubts after the terrible Madrid performance, and the embarrasment of Oslo, I never thought that I would ever see performances such as last night, but it has left a deep wound with me this morning.

I will go tonight, I will not be returning again

You've probably seen too many shows.

This was excactly what I was thinking of before these shows. Expectations were so abnormally high, he could only go wrong with these shows.
Oh well, you never know, maybe tonight.

All this "anything that can happen will happen in Barca" (quote, can?t remember where from)....what exactly will happen?
Hope these folks get an inspired performance and a bit of a shake-up from lst night and that should leave them all happy!

You hit the nail on the head. That was excactly the point I was trying to make.
I had a great time last night and I`m sure I will have so again this night

I was at the show last night and in Madrid, I have been to 40+ shows in Europe and last night in Barca was superb for the Atmosphere, you could say the set list didn't change much etc etc but when he's playing to a crowd of 60.000 plus he ain't gonna change it a whole lot for a couple hundred people who follow him to all the shows, anyone who says the Barca show was a let down, is talking nonsense and has been too many shows on this leg, no-one on this planet does a better stadium show. I would love to hear This Hard Land anyway let's have a great 2nd night I'm sure this will be special WHATEVER he plays!!

moaning over songs not played, I said, I understand he didn?t like the performance which to him was uninspired etc., not because something specific wasn?t played.

Doesn?t matter, anyway....

Hell, I won?t continue to defend someone?s view on a show I haven?t been to myself, I just don?t like the "barca is the best because it has to be the best" and no-criticism-allowed bollocks, especially not from people who?re not even there...
It will be a bitter sweet night. Time to say good bye from E Streetband. They would not go through this again. I also saw 40+ shows since 85 and I learnd what you read in the setlistthread got nothing to do with the real show. Bruce is not virtual. You know this. Met a couple of nice spl fellows today. Beginnig from redbossfan to mando to mike/G and all the other ones. You can't prepare better for a show like this. Whish us a good one. And cheers for now. Heading to Nou Camp at 8pm to see our hero

100% agree...the same was for Milano this year (after a 2003 still in many hearts, but mainly for standing in the rain), luckily we have been saved by unexpected DETROIT MEDLEY and TWIST & SHOUT to remind the "good old days" (yes, None But the Bave too..), the show was good/very good but too much expectation may bring you....

Suerte for the people /friends there tonight, the last european date is something special in any acse

He will, but the rest of the band ?

Bruce will tour for many, many years -- and those who are members of the band will always be a part of the band, now will they always tour -- no. The Bruce community learnt this year a powerful lesson relating to the E Street Band's future and to longtime fans the E Street Band will be the version of the E Street Band we first fell in love with. The most important news, Bruce will tour, likely with members of the E Street Band for many years -- but I wonder what the sound will be like when other members of the band leave
