Just got home from Hannover.

Great, high energetic show from begin to end clocking in at 3h18min. Longest show I've witnessed so far. Bruce was in great mood. Great crowd (even the Sunny Day kid did a good job). 5 Requests (My love will not let you down, Drift away, Atlantic City, Jack of all trades, Roll of the dice). Bruce drank 2 beers tonight. 2 girls on stage during Dancing. One of them was allowed to play his acoustic guitar.

Highlights for me: Atlantic City, Light of day, Open all night, Murder Inc., Drift away and Roll of the dice with Bruce on acoustic and Roy on piano.

And now good night to you all.

My wrist....what else. If I had a chainsaw it would have been taken care of a long time ago.

But I get to be put through misery and pain for a month.

One the pain scale 1-10 I am a constant 4-6.That's just the normal pain. We're not even talking about the spikes in pain for no reason.

and these little Tylenol #4's with codeine in them....

just isn't cutting it no more.

I could be another month before I end up on the table to be operated on...

But I got a brand new 14 speed blender yesterday....

now I can make my own pain killers

I think you need some glasses ;-) ! There was a guy with him on stage playing acoustic guitar !

Was a great show for my silver anniversary.

Greetings from Kassel, Hesse

Anyway, a mighty fine show. Of course nothing compared to the Paris shows last year, but they're pretty hard to top. So, a few thoughts:

- Opening with LOHAD was pretty cool, I was expecting something like Out in the Street or Badlands

- If you count LOHAD and American Land he did 7 songs from WB, he must have finally remembered what the tour is called

- Only three songs from BITUSA! I thought he would play safe in a town he never played before, but he made a nice mix of new and old stuff

- On the other hand 3 songs from Nebraska was 3 more than I'd thought. And since I liked the Seeger Sessions, Open all Night was great fun

- Drift Away is one of my favorite covers he did, so hearing it was awesome. I just wished the horns were a little bit higher in the mix, but it was a shock hearing it anyway. And the request sign and Bruce's reaction was just hilarious.

- I know he got beer from the audience in other shows, but I've never seen it before. And I don't know if he drank two beers anywhere (well, one and a half actually, and he certainly spilled most of it anyway), a funny performance of Spirit all in all.

On the whole a great show, 3:20 was certainly more than expected, and no rain was a nice change considering how shitty the weather was around here the last, well actually 6 months.

That request (not from the same person though) has been all over Europe in pretty much front row.. he's not gonna play it

At Parken he played Loose Ends and at Herning he played Does This Bus Stop at 82nd Street. Apart from being sign requests these songs had another thing in common: it was the same guy who made the sign for both songs. That's pretty good: getting 2 out of 2 sign-reguests. And whats his secret? He's a friend of mine and and while waiting outside Boxen at Herning he told me how's it's done. His request has to meet 3 conditions:

1) It's gotta be a song he hasn't heard live before (he has heard a lot)

2) It's gotta be a song rarely played ................but

3) It's gotta be a song already played on the tour - not often, but .... see 2)

And that's how you stand a fair chance of getting a sign-request played. Requests for The Way or NYC Serenade ........... well ......... don't be disapointed if he ignores them.

Very smart.Very smart indeed.

All ready played...so it's known to the band....

but rarely played...so it's enough to give fans what they want. a taste of some thing fresh.

makes a hell of a lot of sense......
