Just further proving that Steve is completely out of touch. Yeah Steve. The generation with their faces buried in their phones are gonna save us all!

Not to get too political, but you know by definition, I am a millennial and I am in my late 30's hold a good job, own my house, pay my taxes and hate my employer mandated dependence on my phone.

I find the above personification inaccurate and offensive. I feel the term carries a prejudice has become an easy way to dismiss the opinions and ideas of an entire generation that has a different world view.

I do think my generation has that different view of the world by necessity, Older generations grew up in a completely alien time than the one we live in now and a lot of them don't understand that. Some things are better, some things are worse but its very common to see outdated thinking of the generation currently in charge, and a stubbornness to listen. (to clarify this is not a democrat/republican statement, its a generational one)

Also, sliding back on topic... my generation has a lot more access to information and facts than in the 60's-80's. So the job of the musician has shifted. We don't need CCR, Dylan, Springsteen, SVZ to get involved with politics because we are bombarded by it every single day from every angle. Especially with the accelerated news cycle, by the time Steve could write, produce and release something political, the message has already been beaten to death.
