Bill and Hillary Clinton were not sitting at home dancing in the dark after their bomb scare. Quite the contrary, they hit up Bruce Springsteen‘s Broadway show.

A package with a pipe bomb addressed to Hillary Clinton was discovered on Tuesday, Oct. 23 near the Clintons’ home in Chappaqua, New York, north of New York City. No one was hurt.

“Thank you to the @SecretService and all law enforcement agencies who responded to this week’s incidents,” tweeted Bill Clinton on Wednesday, Oct. 24. “They work tirelessly to keep our country and communities safe. I am forever grateful for their efforts.”

Mail bombs were sent to several prominent Democrats and critics of President Donald Trump, including President Barack Obama, this week.

Hillary Clinton turned 71 on Friday, Oct. 26. It is not known if the “Springsteen on Broadway” performance was a birthday gift, but it seems likely.

Springsteen campaigned for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election.

A request for comment from Springsteen’s spokesperson was not returned as of press time.
