Is "Springsteen on Broadway" going on the road?

It's a possibility — at "some point." That's what Bruce Springsteen said on Wednesday, Dec. 19 to the E Street Radio's Live From E Street Nation show. Hosts Dave Marsh and Jim Rotolo were interviewing "Springsteen on Broadway" Netflix filmmaker Thom Zimny at the time.

"It'll find its purpose again somewhere down the road," said Springsteen, who called in. "We talked about taking it to London and some other places, some other cities in the States."

The Boss just wrapped up 236 performances of "Springsteen on Broadway" that spanned from Oct. 3, 2017 to Dec. 15, 2018 at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

"At some point, I'll probably get back to this ('Springsteen on Broadway') or something like it in the future because it was such an enjoyable format to work in. Plus, it was an extension of my talents and my abilities to address and communicate with my audience," Springsteen said. "It's another way of doing that, and I think it will be a template in the future ... a way I'll be able to communicate besides the live shows and other things."

"At some point, that would be nice to do, but right now I'm gonna go back to my day job, and work on some new music and some rock music, and see where that takes me."

The Netflix version of "Springsteen on Broadway" has drawn rave reviews.
