C-SPAN footage from 1992 shows Joe Biden advocated blocking election year Supreme Court nominees when he was a senator, despite what he's saying now.

Who's the musician best suited to become President of the United States?

It's Bruce Springsteen, says Vice President Joe Biden in an interview with Billboard.

"The middle class would have the best chance with Bruce Springsteen," Biden said. "He understands issues facing working Americans."

Biden was asked the question during an interview about a new initiative to end sexual assault on college campuses.

On the political end, Springsteen stumped extensively for the Obama-Biden ticket in 2012 and 2008 and the Boss' "We Take Care of Our Own" was chosen to close out the Democratic National Convention in '12.

"Bruce Springsteen's values echo what the president and vice president stand for: hard work, fairness, integrity," said Jim Messina, the Obama- Biden campaign manager, in 2012.  "His appearances will help with our get-out-the-vote effort in these critical swing states, and we are thrilled with his ongoing support."

In 2002  there was a call to have Springsteen run for the U.S. Senate as a third party candidate.

He would have represented Jersey, of course.

Alas, he wasn't interested.

“If nominated, I will not run. If elected, I will not serve,” said Springsteen at the time.

Biden has announced that he himself is not running for president.
