hope you all have a great last two shows.

Would be cool to see him do back to back full albums to close the tour...

long as one is The River and the other Nebraska

Hello Todd

hope everything's alright in beautiful Seattle. Is your computer working properly again?

As for the shows: Since it seems that this will be the last shows at least for this year I really hope he'll do something special. Maybe Steve is showing up?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

living is easy with eyes closed

hey desa

I'm thinking the rumors about Steve being at Hershey the other night will translate to the last two in CT.And he will be there.

No way will he miss this 2 year tour last shows.or at least the very last one Sunday.

new ish computer...

these last two should be great.Sat's being the better I would think.Depending on how much energy he spends will say what Sundays will be like.Giving the couple days rest Sat's should be high energy.

I'm thinking it will be a request full show. And Sunday will be more on the lines of this is what we're giving so take it or leave it.

But then it's Bruce so anything can and usually does happen.

Either way...it's the end for a while.it will be emotional for a lot of different reasons to a lot of different people.

Been a long ass run past two years (WOW...crazy to think about that)

It started with WB and is finishing with HH.

Remember the days when it took years just to get 1 album out of him?

now we have had 2 years of tour and 1 and a half released during the tour...

that's just crazy.

not to mention the live downloads.

oh...and the short lived few weeks of selfies

"Hey man, did you see that? His body hit the street with such a beautiful thud"

I have a feeling he'll be back pretty soon.  He looks great, sounds great, and is clearly enjoying what he's doing. The clock is ticking, which he is surely aware of...

That's my guess, too. A late summer swing in Europe, then fall in the U.S. Then we'll see if that's it. Though Steve there for these last two has me wondering.

na all will be good.he/they just need time off.

been a long run.give him a chance to do a real new album...one not full of covers.

also I really don't see him ending like this.i see more of a long night stand at Meadowlands and/or MSG in NYC after a longer run in the US not a 16 show run that was mostly on the east coast.

on the other hand.... this short run is where he pretty much cut his teeth when they first started touring way back when...so...hummmm

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hey man, did you see that? His body hit the street with such a beautiful thud"

well a few months ago i recall Landau saying that they were planning something psecial later this year. An interview he gave about not going to sweden this year i think.

so hopefully that could still see the light of day - just like river box set

  Dream baby dream

I don't see him doing a bombastic farewell tour, the e-street band will just fade away. I could easily see a two year gap to do other things and when he returns age or other factors will end the ride. I think Bruce's artistic juices are running low and he could leave this weekend fully intending to tour again. Whether or not it happens is another story.

When in Hollywood visit Universal Studios
(Ask for Babs)

The other thought is what is the e street band? Maybe he will continue replacing and playing under that name. A lot of this tour has been without Steve, and obviously without Clarence and Danny.  If you told me in 1999 he was touring as the e street band without those three I'd call bullshit. Maybe Bruce's band will always be the e street band no matter who is playing.

When in Hollywood visit Universal Studios

I don't for a second believe this is the end. It night be of this mini-tour, but not of Bruce playing shows. I think there's already another album, waiting and ready to go whenever he wants to. "Bruce always has a new record in his pocket", didn't Steve say that? Someone did. Here's my warped thinking:

Did you notice how he physically presented himself last year and in SA & DU this year? The dark shirt with the tucked-in tie and all clean shaved. Now these last few shows we see him with facial hair and uniform-like shirts. To me he's starting to get in character for the next album, new songs, and a new topic. Grunge Bruce, a new direction. Then again, I may be hallucinating!

I too hope we have a tour in 2015 but it's not happening in 2014, that 's for sure.  All of his roadies, crew and security have other jobs this year.  Most are taking off for the summer and hooking up with other bands in the fall some are working sooner like Everett and Cindy.  If he was playing in the fall, those guys, meaning the crew, wouldn't be seeking other pastures.

One thing is for sure we'll be getting some great shows the rest of May.

And Pedro...there are no bad seats in Moghegan Sun.  The darn place only holds 10,000.  Wish me luck and look for the SPL contingent up front.

Oh man, I'm sorry I have to miss this.. what turned out to be a minor illness (but could have been something much more serious - we couldn't take a chance.)

I'll be at the Yankee game this afternoon, should be getting home just in time to follow the thread - Whoever's posting, I want to know every detail!

Have a great show, everyone - make it one for the ages!!

Can you get to the last show?

Not without help from a friendly ticket fairy <g>. Minimum 2.5 hrs each way and I have to work on Monday- really not likely, which is why I was looking for Saturday. Fate stepped on our plans this time.

Hey gang,  Hope all those going tonight have a great show! Will be in the house tomorrow night with my dad, hljas, pulled section 17 drops on Wednesday, Super excited. Glad Stevie will be back for these two shows, they should be special. Working tonight, but will check the setlist thread when I can. Adding to the festivities is the fact that I believe Bruce and the Band has never played this arena before, so that adds to the shows and hopefully the opportunity for some deeper and rarer cuts to be played over the next 48 hours.

It's Gonna Be A Long Walk Home

That's correct. Last played in Brisbane.

saw it on the set list stats page but wasn't sure if CJ had them up to date yet.seeing how he's been busy enjoying the few shows in the south .

I really do feel a full album coming tonight.

hasn't been done since Steve was with them down under...no?

And now Steve is back (hopefully). and with the high rollers on hand and the politicians floating around.Might turn this show into something the diehards don't want and real fast.

please let me be horribly wrong.

Sorry you have to miss the last two scoper.

Have fun at the Yankees game.buy me some thing from the new stadium.

for the diehard fan now living on the wrong coast.never been to new home.and from what Ivan posts about it I'll need a small fortune if I do get to one day.sad us fans have to pay for the new digs.

Been to the old one too many times to count.I was on hand way back in the 70's when they had two...yes two inside the park homeruns off them back to back.First one Lou P hit the wall so hard we all thought he died.Flew back some 15 feet....out cold...

the second one Mickey Rivers under ran a shallow hit ball.bounced in front of him when he slid to correct himself and went all the way to the wall getting stuck under the padding and ground.

With Steve (hopefully) back on stage I don't think he'll do a full album (last one was BTR in Auckland).

I guess Bruce will choose some songs that put Steve in the spotlight: Ramrod, Two Hearts, Just Like Fire Would, Glory Days or maybe Held Up Without A Gun.

If you like to know what Mr. Morello is listening to...

From twitter:

"Playlist on way to CT: KnifeParty-PowerGlove, Sabbath-Heaven&Hell, NIN-Came Back Haunted, JKwon-Tipsy, ArcadeFire-AbrahamsDaughter, AvettBros-HeadFullOfDoubt, S.Earle-MeetMeInTheAlleyway, BrightEyes-Road To Joy, WhiteStripes-Icky Thump, Scorpions-In Trance"

Since I'm not going until Sunday night, I heartily recommend Bruce save all rarities and gems for the second night of the stand. I do worry a little that casino high rollers will be standing around jiggling the chips in their pockets and wondering who the hell is this guy on the stage with a band the size of a small symphony.

I sold my Yankee tix for today on the Ticket Exchange. Watching Rangers took precedence in May! It would be reverse in October of course.  Even made a couple of $.
