Hello Hazy

Hope it'll be an epic show. My guess is that they'll play a couple of tracks from WIESS (like Rome last year) and no full album.

I dont think Bruce can do the high notes of 'dont dream its over'... so I predict.... 'something so strong'

I'm not getting my hopes up to high on that...I have a bad feeling it's going to "get lost" like Mel 2 and never see the DL site.

"Hey man, did you see that? His body hit the street with such a beautiful thud"

No "Wrecking Ball" Songs!

This might be a show I actually will listen to from start to finish.

It might be difficult to survive "High Hopes",

but

at least I don't have to skip

over "Shackled and Drawn", "Death to my Hometown"

or "American Land"

I rather listen to WOASD than to those three.

Looking forward to "Incident"-"Rosie"-"NYCS"

and hope we get a nice video from "Staying Alive"

Are you jokin'????
If they f**k up this one my wrath will be upon them!!!!!!!!!

I count 6 or 7 strings behind the band. gotta be the largest he's ever had playing.

Well, pretty shattered after three hour drive back home after the show and a few hours sleep but still buzzing so thought I'd do a quick review. Took a while to work out what the first song was - not the biggest fan of it but local boys, as has been noted, and once into it got the crowd going. Then the Greetings four, which were great (although from a selfish point of view would have been nice if more than one of them had been one I hadn't seen live before). Story with Growing Up about being a thirteen-year old boy with only his right hand for company. Crowd surfing from the back of the pit and finding a mobile phone in his back pocket. The obligatory HH duo, then the requests started. The River songs and Save Your Love ("too happy" for Darkness) went down really well.

He'd collected a whole pile more requests and started saying that the show had seriously gone off track but they were having a ball. Then the choice of whether to go on in this random way or play the whole of WIESS. For a few seconds I was actually torn between the two as it had been a great selection so far, but not much argument in the end. The musicianship of the band never ceases to amaze me and they way they can just pick up anything an run with it. We were sitting near the back but the crown was pretty respectful, although a lot of chatter through Wild Billy. Second half of the album just magic.

As for the rest of the set, it was pretty much party mode and I didn't really expect anything more after the first half. Whatever is said about WOASD it certainly gets the crowd going. Glory Days with Steve and Bruce downstage. Steve looked like he was really enjoying himself. TM was pretty superflouos for most of this particular show. Highway to Hell with Eddie Vedder kept the crowd up and then the final beautiful Thunder Road where you could've heard a pin drop even from back where we were. His usual parting words of "we'll be seeing you". Thanks Bruce - to the next time!
