Once we arrive at a consensus on each tour, why don't we make an effort to throw those shows up on Dime, Jungleland, ABMS, for a week or so - one tour at a time. Give everyone a chance to get the shows they don't have. (Although, if you're here on SPL, chances are you have them already...)

I will volunteer to seed to DIME any shows that I have.

Alternately, set up a vine...

I can guarantee that not everyone on SPL has these, or even 10% of the suggestions so far.

Personally, I've been downloading MP3 versions of bootlegs from the BTX index, which I'm not entirely happy with. One soul here was very generous and kind in sending me some River tour boots on DVD (Gob, take a bow).

Would much prefer FLAC versions than BTX's mp3s. Torrents would be nice, though I personally have difficulty with them. Vines would also be cool.
Upload the shows to Jungleland. We would have to take tracks out of certain shows due to Dime's rules (i.e. 1980-12-31 2000-07-01 1978-07-07). Please do not upload to Dime for any reason. Their over zealous Mods are willing to butcher these classic shows.
Are you retarded? Hell yeah it was better in '78!

I think uploading flacs to file hosters is a good way to make the stuff available. Rapidshare allows up to 200MB rar files, so you'd have the average bootleg in 5 to 7 parts. We would just need a stocky thread somewhere with the links posted. And it's not more difficult to upload than a torrent or AMBS. And as long as someone downloads it once in a while, they don't expire. And it's faster than a torrent, too.

We sit here stranded, though we're all doin' our best to deny it

I think the shows need to be on ABMS first. Then torrented and after that vined.

Perhaps my settings arent ok but when I upload(ed) to ABMS I upload a show in an hour or so. And when I torrented a show recently on Jungleland it took over 2 hours before the first completed the download.

I dont mind downloading a show from ABMS in a few minutes and then help seeding it on Jungleland. If more people do it this way I guess upload speed will smoke!!!
One thought I would like to mention here:

What about ID3-Tags for FLAC files?

As far as I understand,
people who rip their valued silvers to FLAC files use EAC.

Then usually, different folders "disc1", "disc2", "disc3" are created,
all containing "track01", "track02", "track03"

Sometimes somebody renames files to, let's say "BS20091107d1t02"

where many might prefer "102 Prove It All Night" or "1 - 02 Prove It All Night".

I know - It means asking very much work from the uploader, to work on ID3 tags

But it would help many people who download the files (as I am sure I am not the only one who keeps boots on his HD and labels many a show with correct filenames after downloading).

Could we // Should we // Does anybody want to set up some sort of system

how we should label the Flac files?

I am aware that this would pose a problem for the existing torrents -
because seeders who have their "old" filenames on their HD
could not jump in on the "new" torrents with edited ID3-Tags.

Happy to hear what you think about that...

Best wishes

Yes. What about RapidShare?

It ain't no sin to be glad you're alive.
